so you're trying to broadcast the evdo signal to the rest of the computers in your house? if that's the case why not use a program like wmwifirouter that essentially turns your phone into a wireless router. it would be much simpler than running the usb connection into your computer and then trying to broadcast. the paid for versions have encryption. and if i'm not mistaken there is another made over at xda-dev that is totally free and includes wep encryption.
