We always a spot for a fellow programmer.
Have fun, and let us warn you now, this can become quite addicting.

It already has. Just yesterday, well, today, I stayed up until 6 am reading through various things and trying to learn a few things about my device. I think the most interesting thing was OpenGL on it, which would rock. I also discovered that it was only a few months ago that Manila2D was ported, and now it works almost flawlessly. This community certainly knows their stuff, which excites me. One problem though, I'm more of a c#/java guy, and haven't ever written a c++/c program, I've only read through some source. I would probably have to become more familiar with that before being any real help (I'm assuming all of the .dll's that are being ported/remade/created are using either c or c++).
