Smile Apps for HTC Mogul

Hello,

I am new to the forum and hope this is posted in the right section. If not please move to the correct one.

I just recently purchased a Mogul as my first smart phone. I didn't get the data plan with it just yet as I really only access the internet with the wifi capabilities.

My question is that I would like to at least check the weather forecast and have access to radar when I am away from a wifi connection. I am used to the old phones where you could download an app and it just used airtime to access it. Is there anyway to do this with my HTC Mogul or will I be stuck to getting a data plan to access any features such as MYCAST Weather which is what I previously had on a regular phone?

Re: Apps for HTC Mogul

First off, Welcome to the Madness that is PPCGeeks.com

Second you may want to get a data package as alot of apps need to connect to update, and such, and with out a data plan you may end up with some very large bills.

I've seen MyCast on handango recently, but there are alot of great free weather apps out there. Hit the search button and enter Weather and see what comes up. Weather panel is a popular one here. I use the weather with the HTC home plug in, which you can also find here with a search.

Welcome to what will be your newest addiction, lol. The best advice I can give you is read alot. Alot of questions have been answered many times, so searching will also help you a great deal. And of course ask questions, that's what we're here for and what ppcgeeks is all about.
