Re: ImapPusherService

I found good and bad with this app.

The good is the push works great, I get email instantly. It does what it supposed to do and does not drain the battery like it would if you had gmail check for mail every 5 minutes like I currently do.

The bad
1. It has to be restarted every time you boot your phone, no big deal, takes 10 seconds but I found I often forgot and since I set my gmail to check only once a day I didn't realize I was missing mail.

2. I receive a lot of mail, usually about 100 a day and just about every day I would get an error from the push app, ( i think it was something about only being able to push a total amount of emails) So it would stop working. Sometimes again I didn't realize the phone got the error and again I would miss email. I also believe after this error the app will not work again until you reboot your phone. I found after a while I couldn't be bothered and I set the email to check every 5 minutes instead and kept the phone on the charger whenever possible.

This was all with the Juicy Rom 4 .something. somthing. I'm now on mighty's latest. I'm not sure yet if it will fail as often.

If anyone could find a way to get this to start at startup that would be great. I tried putting it in the startup folder but would receive a .net error when booting my phone.
