I've been using Novii Remote Deluxe since yesterday and it works good for me. I can lay on my bed or sit on the couch and change the channels. The ir archive makes it very easy to just look up the codes for any television. So its kool with me!!!

I think i'm just going to stick wit it.

@Torx:
The remote program being used won't make a difference either way. The problem is that the IR transceiver in the 6700 is weak on the transmit side. The only option is to replace it w/ one that works better. Let me know if you find one that fits and can be soldered in...j/k. I've heard of other people removing the IR window, but they had mixed results. An IR extender is probably your best option, even though it sucks as an option.

@dienalive:
I think maybe he got the "ii" at the end of Novii confused w/ II. Novii Remote Deluxe is at ver 4.11. There's no II version I can see.

Why didn't you purchase the noviiremote deluxe at $29.99 from the company's site? It announced a discount recently. Though I don't know if it's still on .

PS the right name for the application is noviiremote deluxe, and I like it!

Novii Remote Deluxe only gets about 4 feet max for me with my 6700. Very poor distance.

I know it's not a cheap option... but seriously, the Logitech remotes are amazing. I think they're around $200.00 but they can control anything IR, and they're programmed via USB. It's not on your phone... but it will replace any IR control you need in your entire home.
