DEFECT REPORT: Bluetooth death

Reported by: pgdeaner
Date: 3/16/07
Time: 8:34 AM MST
Version #: .10

Issue Description: The Bluetooth subsystem goes to sleep and will not wake up without reseting the phone. This can occur while the phone is sitting idle or even during a call.

Steps to duplicate: I paired my HBH-608 headset with my phone and left in on my ear all day. During the day you will get a disconnect tone from the headset, similar to the tone when you get out of range of the phone. The wireless manager will say that bluetooth is active, but if you go into bluetooth settings the turn on bluetooth blox will be cleared and there is no apparent way to activate the bluetooth. Neither the wireless manager or the bluetooth settings will let your headset reconnect. The quick fix is a soft reset. This sounds like a driver issue.

Software installed on PPC: Voice command 1.6, E-ten dialer.

more info

as a test I flashed sardinour's 3.3+ rom and disabled the xscale application.

running apps: Voice Command 1.6, E-ten dialer, Wisbar.

So far I have not seen the issue and from what I understand this was not built with a kitchen.

Thanks for posting this issue.

Can you please add the words "DEFECT REPORT" to the subject box of this thread? That way, the dev guys will see this quicker.

Thanks!
