I don't have any plans right now to actually silence the system/phone volume but it's something that wouldn't be hard to put in later. I'm thinking the idea would be that you have your own "do not disturb" profile where you could set options like "suppress all sound/notifications" and have rules and actions to auto-respond to calls/sms with a "i'm not available, try back later" message.
