Detailed contact/appointment/task management on PPC

Hello!

I am trying my first PPC PDA Smart phone (Samsung SCH-i760) which runs WM6 Pro, and though I REALLY like the phone and the PPC functions/capabilities it has, I am very disappointed in its ability to natively handle contact/appointments/task management as well as Chapura KeySuite (see below). I am also surprised that I cannot easily find a third party application for it that will handle contacts/appointments/tasks as easily and throughly as Chapura KeySuite does.

I have used the PALM OS and a third party PALM application called Chapura KeySuite for years. Chapura KeySuite is an application that works seamlessly with Outlook. It is able to create a task or appointment with 1 or 2 clicks from the detail view of a contact. With 2 clicks, you can link contacts to contacts. It manages some expenses and tracks the progress of active tasks. It emulates Outlook better than anything I have seen out there. It does a Lot.

***Does any one know of a good third party app that will handle contacts/appointments/tasks as nicely as Chapura KeySuite? I have tried tried Agendus, DevloperOne's AgendaOne and Agenda Fusion 8 and a few others out there and they do not come close. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! I REALLY WANT TO GIVE THIS PPC A CHANCE AND RATHER NOT GO BACK TO PALM IF I CAN HELP IT (I really like to multi-task which you cannot do with a PALM). BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS, CONTACT MANAGEMENT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THAN ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES OF THE PPC-I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!!

Thank you for your time!

BTW...I customer service agent at VerizonWireless told me about your forum and how GREAT it is-he thought if anyone could help me, you guys (and gals) could!

Re: Detailed contact/appointment/task management on PPC

Thank you for your reply!

Since I posted my initial question, I have re-evaluated Pocket Informant 8, and have found that it will do everything I need. ***However, I have run up against one big roadblock with PI8 that I was hoping you or someone could help me with. I do a lot of LINKING contacts to contacts and contacts to appointments and tasks. The problem is that I have a lot of preexisting such links in Outlook which I noticed do not get transfered to PI8. Upon contacting WebIS (developer's of PI with the issue, they informed me that the issue is not theres (if the data is there, they will establish the links), but the issue is with ActiveSync. They said that ActiveSync is not transferring the data. Since then, I also discovered that ActiveSync also does not transfer all of my phone numbers, addresses, etc.

***So I guess I have a second question - DO YOU KNOW OF A THIRD PARTY SYNCING SOFTWARE THAT WILL TRANSFER/SYNC ALL (OR MOST) DATA FROM OUTLOOK TO PPC AND VISA VERSA (it would be REAL nice if there was a piece of syncing software that works as well as HotSync)???

Thank you!

Gary
