pocket informant?

I dont understand the pocket informant program by webis. I installed it but not sure what it does compared to the factory touch setttings with contacts, abc scrolling and calender items. If anyone else is using the program please let me know more about it. I received a free program with the handigo promotion a while back and if its a good program i dont want it to go to waste.

Re: pocket informant?

For a person that really knows what they're doing, Pocket Informant does everything you need.

In my humble, non-power scheduler opinion pocket informant is outlook with pretty colors, more options, and tasks and contacts integrated into it.

For me, the small things make it worthwhile: I can see an "agenda view" for multiple days. "Tasks" show up in my calendar (while in progress and the day they are due), and when in "month view" I can actually see whats going on that day. There is also a much different "week view".

It has definetly been worth it for me. The only drawback is there is no today screen plugin.

If you go to settings and items and click calender you will see today setting . Thats how I see my jobs today and tomorrow if they are not too many.

Re: pocket informant?

I live by Pocket Informant!

I have 10 locations that I manage with about 200 employees total and without it I would be lost.

One of the best parts about PI is the ability to (like in Outlook) sort tasks by category. I would say that IMO it is one of the best productivity products for the PPC.

If you do not have a lot going on it may be over kill, but for a person who wants/needs to be truly mobile, the time management functions of PI just rock.

Re: pocket informant?

Let me rephrase:

For all it's functionality and ability, pocket informant doesn't allow you to customize or tweak any today screen plugin options (unless this has changed since version 7.0).

This isn't a big deal though, I just use today agenda.
