WM6 vs Symbian S60

Well with all the problems we've had with the Mogul and since this new 3.16 update appears to have problems as well...what do you guys think of Symbiam's new OS? Is it better than WM6? I've tried Palm on my father -in-law's Treo and it sucked. I was thinking of getting a N95 8GB, but I would have to leave Sprint, which I'm trying to avoid.

So what do you think? WM6 or Symbian S60?

S60 Should be enjoyed with an E90, not a N95...
S60 is stable but lacking in the 3rd Party dept & say goodbye to touch screen too
.

IMHO father than S60 go to a SonyStyle store & try their Symbian UIQ 3 phones and see if you like it.

No, no it is not better than WM6 nor does it aim to compete as its really just "lets say"
an OS for enhanced phones & not so much like Smartphones though technically they're Smartphones..
Its a nice blend of cool phone function & feature, Windows Mobile is more of PDA function & media.

Not sure if I said that right but again, try 1st & know what you loose & what you gain.

S60 & UIQ3 users aren't not like Palm, WM & BB users, its a different take with each device on the Symbian side, there is no common running theme...

Cool. Thanks for the reply.

I've never used any Nokia phones other than a little flip my brother had. But his didn't have the features that the N95 or E90 have. Don't get me, I WM6 but all I ready need is a constant connection to email and pictures. I like having all the other features WM6 has to offer, but it seems like the N95 has some cool features as well.

I dont think we have any Sonystyle storesin Baltimore.

These are the closest, about an hour away. Not sure if that is you cup of tea, 9/10 its probably inside of a Mall...

1961 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA
(703) 356-6396

1100 S Hayes St, Arlington, VA
(703) 416-5187

Usually the people in there are 100% helpful so if you do want to try something out, they will make sure you can do it in full...
