And still not an answer to the ops question. HTC doesn't notify, and won't notify of new email, just list number of new emails, so you have to keep looking at the phone.

sfreeman, I had the same problem and have no solution to it. I don't use rules that move emails anymore, so just move them on the phone. It's not a great solution. If you have a lot of email. I don't, so it works, just minor annoyance. You can get Flexmail - it will notify you of where and which folder - BUT - it is third party, not free. And does not do mapi/activesync. Only pop/imap and has to check on a schedule. I found lots of issues with it, although used for a long while and was pretty good. Haven't used it in several months so they may have upgraded it since then.

ok - scratch part of that. Went to webis website and flexmail does support activesync...
