Hi guys I hope its ok to post this here, Just having some issues with a phone I have. I have an american phone the HTC Touch Pro 2 its locked to Verizon I live in the UK and want to unlock to work with my sim card that is Orange AKA the new EE. Unlock codes do not work as the phone doesnt give me the option to enter one. It just tells me to dial *228 to activate this phone. The error message i get is The sim card is not valid. Iv been seraching forums and watching videos on you tube for a few hours now and getting a little frustrated if anyone could help that would be fantastic or point me in the right direction. Im also willing to offer a little paypal money or something if someone can run me through exactly what to do to get this phone working on my UK sim card. Thanks for your time in advance Darren. I think what you are going to need to do is SIM unlock your device. See this thread here for more information. Sorry for the late reply.

You may be able to find a free alternative, but to answer your question. Yes, I believe so. Any others that have more information on where you live may have a better idea. Good luck.

Ok well getting a code doesn't work, The phone needs activating before I can even think about SIM unlocking. Like I said in the 1st post I still need to activate the phone before I can do anything else.
