Re: NEW TELENAV Sprint Navigation

This mey not be the correct thread, but I am at my wits end with Sprint and this HTC junk.
I have a similar problem: My account includes Sprint Navigation, and the first time I use after installing it works fine, but next time it asks me to pay. On the advice of Sprint Customer CareLESS, I agree to pay (they say I won't be billed), I then get a message that Sprint Navigation is not available, try later [20006]. The only way I can get it to work is to reinstall. The only version I have is 2.1.23. Sprint Customer CareLESS tries to send me links to 5.5.18, but the links are broken, so I have no idea if that will fix it or not. My phone is a TP2, and was provided because I had so much trouble with a TP. The TP2 is no better and in some respects is worse. They have offered me a Blackberry 8330, but it is not only obsolescent but lacks several features I paid for with this junk. I guess I could try 5.5.18, but I don't know how to get to it. Could someone help there?

And yes I have cleared memory several times (hard reset doesn't seem to work).

v.18 is for tp1 and v.24 is for tp2... go to ota.telenav.com and see for yourself
I did that, what I was saying was that even though it shows for the TP2 they still offered me the TP1 version because they don't offer the .24 version for the TP2 through sprint, they thought I was bullshitting them by telling them that TeleNav texted me version .24 not .18 but w/e I got .24 and it's working fine...

Re: NEW TELENAV Sprint Navigation

i installed this, and a few weeks later i got msg saying that my account wasnt active. got to the bottom of it. it turns out that if u have sprint navi on the plan, then u can only use that. if u are using telenav navi, after 2-3 weeks ur accound wont be active, the only way to activate it is to use sprint navi

Re: NEW TELENAV Sprint Navigation

I experienced this too. You have to use the official Sprint Navigation once in awhile to keep it active / activated on your plan.

After getting the inactive / expired account message, I'd login once w/ Sprint Navigation. After that, the message would go away again after a couple of weeks.

Doesn't matter now though. The Sprint Navigation that comes w/ the official Sprint 6.5 ROM has been updated to the same version as the TeleNav app..

if that is the case then why do you have to still "call" a number on Sprint Nav when you "speak" an address ?? Telenav does not do this.
