TouchOne uses slightly over 2MB of memory. However, if you have hundreds of apps installed and dozens of widgets spread across many screen the memory usage can budge to 3 - 4MB.

Nowhere near half as bad as the Dialer skin on the TP2 which gobbles 8-12MB of ram.

the only two things imho TF3D offers that is useful is the weather screen (looks cool w/ animations) and email preview (which mshell also has) which can be a time/click saver.

the rest is a clumsy mess overall as you know

wow, very nice. i really can't wait for the next release.

since you seem to know a lot about programming and such, is there any way to make a skin for winmo volume control. the reason i ask is because i hate the htc dialer. i enabled the original winmo dialer to get my ram back, but alas it breaks the htc volume control (which i like since it is finger friendly). i can't stand the look/(lack of)usability the winmo volume control offers, so i am back to the htc dialer.

got any ideas? maybe there can be a widget to control the volume? i would sure love to get that ram back and be able to control my volume with my fingers (not including the rockers of course)

I am working with Dehx mainly trying to help him develop themes for TouchOne, I'm sure I could develop a graphical volume control but it would be up to him to code/program etc... And because he is hard at work trying to make sure that all the bugs / glitches are worked out of the .2a release so there isn't any whining I doubt he'll be able to get around to it in the very near future.

However, I'm certain once the .2a release is done he might be able to do something for you. In the mean time I can throw together some graphical ideas for it so they're ready, did you want something along the same line as the stock volume controller?

i.e. a black glossy themed one with simple dashes to display the volume level

If you had something else in mind by all means post it up and let me know so I can figure something out for ya.

I'l probably be able to do a demo through .2 like i did for the first version when it comes out, if it has a lot more features, I've been pretty busy lately with finals and exams projects etc

works awesome on my att pure. one problem though is when i have email and tap the email icon it takes me to the outlook email account which then is frozen, so I can't send texts or send/check email, i have to close out to the main TouchOne screen. not a memory issue as i have 80-90 mb free. didn't have this issue with SPB Mobile 3.5 or TF3d. I have the security fix and net 3.5 already installed to main memory. Other than this headache, love the speedy app! someone please help!

update:
I uninstalled TouchOne and no longer have the above issue. I do want to use the app tho, it's great. Any suggestions? I followed the instructions verbatim on the dehx.net site

This issue will be fixed in 0.2a, as you will be able to place the correct email icon that you normally use, on the homescreen.

yeah i was tryin to be rude expecting more from dehx, i am really looking forward to .2a, and i know he is very hard at work on it

to be honest i would like it if the htc stock one could just be re-enabled, but since i lack programming knowledge, i don't even know how to trouble shoot the issue of the winmo dialer breaking the htc volume control. so to answer your question, i am fond of the stock usability. if it came down to a whole new control being created i could go for something new and custom (we all like that!). maybe like a volume knob that you could rotate, nice and big, finger friendly.

but like i said, the stock is fine. and thanks for the reply. keep up your hard work theme-ing, can't wait for this, it'll be christmas a week early here in the touchone thread, haha.

How hard will it be to make these widgets... from what I am seeing it seems like there will be and SDK... I think it will be a blast to make some widgets... I don't have any programing experience, will I be able to figure it out... Any tips one how to get started or what I need to learn... Thanks... great program
