What is this Thread About?
By itself, HTC Sense/Manila 2.5 is a very nice interface......BUT
With the Package from Maxycy at XDA you can take it to the Extreme and actually get a "changeable" manila. Meaning you can change the way the manila looks like from the Manila ITSELF without even a manila or system restart!!!! This Package Also Adds Hotkey's on home screen to change different things. notification buttons on home screen.

What Can I Install This Cab On
THIS WILL WORK ON MANILA VERSION 2.51920xx & 2.51921xx
*Note on 2.51921xx (There have been some reports of problems with MaxManila 2.5 & Manila 2.51921xx - i have it working fine on my Juicy R4 with that manila, but just as a note this should be fixed in the new MaxManila 2.6
i have cab for version 2.51919xx Here

How do i Find My Manila Version
If you have Juicy ROM R2 then you have manila 2.51920xx
If you Have Juicy ROM R3 then you have manila 2.51921xx
If you Have Juicy Rom R4 then you have manila 2.51921xx
*You can find your version by sliding to settings......about phone......software info.....manila verison is there....

Will This Cab Mess up My Animated Weater
No! this cab will not affect it at all. it actually puts a invisible trigger in top left corner to activate and deactivate weather on home screen (only available on verison 2.1)
the auto weather is still in tact too! meaning if you wake up from lock state OR goto start menu and back to home screen animated weather will start automatically.

Does the OS Matter for This Cab?
YES! you can only use this cab for WinMo 6.5 or 6.5.1
You just need to have manila 2.5, and correct verison cab.

Why are there 2 Threads about this Cab?
I posted 2 different threads to show what Winmo 6.5 & 6.5.1 looked like.
As you can see its somewhat different

It has been reported that a few people had trouble getting to work. i installed it and noticed some minor bugs, but nothing serious. Juicy ROM has a newer version of manila that i think is creating the problem

Seems like everything works great with MaxManila and Juicy R4

Landscape mode DOES NOT WORK on ANY TABS BUT Does work on Music & photo Tabs & Rest of Phone
It has a nice transition for both......
All you have to do is rotate phone and it will automatically go landscape.

everyone has MMS issues...but I think most chefs are ironing them out in their respective ROM's...

isn't that the a version of the "Sense" clock from Android? I think I've seen those clocks before.

Love the way this looks...but will it work for 6.5.1 ROMs?

The very bottom of the screen, the little partial circle with the up arrow in it, I don't "mind" it but I'd prefer to have the iconbar present 100% of the time (not auto-hide)

To be fair, I'm on Manila 2.1 so I was using this cab (Max Manila 2.1919xxx Ultimate - v1.0.cab (200.3 KB, 1317 views))

You can disable the auto hide slider from the home screen... From the home screen, swipe your finger to the right and a 3 button screen will appear... Additionally, from this screen if you swipe your finger up, 6 extra buttons will appear... These are basically setting for Max Manila and some extras...

Now to disable the auto hide slider, click the button that says Tab Icon... The slider should unhide immediately...

Edit: Just realized you said Manila 2.1... Not sure if it works the same... I'm on M2.5...

Just updated to "EnergyROM_23081_RHOD500_25.Oct.2009_StandardM2.5( 2)"
which is winmo 6.5.1 and it works almost fine. the only bug i have seen is the full screen show windows taskbars. i dont use full screen too often anyways......

It doesn't :( I think the 2.1 version is a little behind... I tried messing around with the swipes you recommended and I never saw an option to disable the auto-hide.

To be clear, the only reason I'm NOT installing Manila 2.5 is because I don't like the 3 application shortcut on the mainscreen

With this add on you can hide the program buttons on the main home page... Check out some of the different layouts...

Don't mind the clock in my picks... They were flipping when some of the snap were taken...

love the enhancements this brings to M2.5... One thing that was driving me crazy was the half-circle arrow up when the slider is hidden... I did some playing around and modified the Manila file to make it a bit more subtle... Check out the below...

If anyone is interested, I have included the modified manila file... Back up the original file in \Windows and over write with this one... To restore, use your back-up file...

love the Energy ROM....just updated to the winmo 6.5.1 version and and was going to post screens in the AM. it looks exactly like what you posted except for with winmo 6.5.1........AWESOME LOOK!

On another note, just wanted to recommend CleanRAM... It keeps me running in the 50% utilization and helps Manila run smoothly... I do a level 2 clean whenever I notice it running a bit slow... Thought I'd share...

Ok, have figured out everything but how to change the clocks. Instruction?

Would also like to just have the analog clock, no digital. Any possibility?

Last one- its afternoon, and although the digital clock shows pm, the analog shows am (but is the correct time). Fix?

there is a invisible hot key under the taskbar to the right
this will give you 6 or 7 clock options

Installed fine, but my slider bar will not hide at all!! It just stays there.

Edit: Ok, got it to hide but, in using the 6.5.1 energy rom and now the taskbar disappeared.

i am using energy ROM and when i hide the slider i lose the i do not lose the taskbar, but i have modified my taskbar....

however when i condense the clock by swiping UP, i lose that when i have my slide hiding. is the small regtangle block that give digital time, alarm, and date

Just want to say again how terrific this is, and mention to those who have been reluctant to go to 2.5 because of the 3 program icons, this solves it 2 different ways:
First, you can just choose to hide them as previously mentioned. Second, if you show them, its 4 across rather than three, which forces smaller icons, which look much, much, butter at that resolution.

Great job. Only thing I'd like to see is some choice of style in the optional notification buttons. They just don't compare well, imho, to the quality of the rest of the display.

I installed the following .cab to remove the top curtain and the Verizon banner and it COMPLETELY messed up my homescreen and other screens. I think I will have no choice but to Hard Reset, I just wanted to give everyone else a fair warning.

**This cab will not remove Top Curtain or Network Carrier... (install that after this cab)

Some info like what ROM you have, WinMo Version, Manila Version would be helpful.....

92 other people have downloaded and i have not heard one problem, so its probably not the cab.... i can probably help if i had more info...

also, why not post this in the thread for the cab itself?????

Sorry, I should have put that info in there. I am currently running Juicy Rhodium_W R2 ROM, CE OS 21872 5.0.71, which is great but this new Sense Manilla 2.5 overhaul is AMAZING!

It seems after I installed the cab it over-writed and the 2.5 overhaul bottom half was in the background and the original theme from juicy (which has the 3 big icons) was on top of it. It looked all crazy and messed up and wouldnt allow me uninstall anything.

Also, I just did a Hard Reset and re-installed all of my programs. I would prefer not to do this all over again so is there a program or cab you recommend for backing up EVERYTHING. So I would only have to reinstall the backup and am right back to where I am now?

As always, You guys are simply AMAZING, and I cant thank you enough for all your help and support. :headbang:

I would like to try and get that Analog clock that I saw on another thread showing Max Manila, it looks like a Military watch with the HTC logo in the center for the 2.1919xxx build of Max Manila

Just turn analog clock on under max manila settings....torn off tab icons....swipe clock up to hide and sweep left or right til you see it.....IT EVEN MOVES!!!!
