Too bad the text for each icon has to be specifically removed per application. Or I'd just remove them all, move each box over 2 pixels and call it done!

Thanks, I appreciate that! Looks like all this may just end up being for my own use though. As it looks like MaxManila 2.8 is about to drop and it seems everyone loves to use that.
