Here's another great cht addon widget made by xda member poyensa. He, like many of us, thought the one sole line in the RSSReader wasn't enough? So he modified it a bit to increase the area of the widget and add multiline properties. Your RSSReader can now have five lines with his widget!

Needs JMLMenuSense v1.60 !!!

You can easily config CHT RSS widget with the following features: text color, title color, scroll speed, horizontal alignment, background texture, background color (not functional when texture is selected), background opacity & background width. Access to the setting menu by clicking in RSS icon (or CHT Tweaks >> Widget Setting)


Installation
Install JMLMenuSense.v1.60.cab (or superior)
Uninstall previous version of CHT RSS widget
Install CHTw RSS FullConfig

UPDATE 10Nov2010: have been added 3 diferents layouts for the widget: 3-4-5 lines so it can be better addapted to your screens. It was tried with more lines but there is no more information loaded by RSSReaderService.dll so its not useful.

This new updated cab is based on the 0.95, hope it works better

EDIT 14 Nov: Uploaded a new verssion of RSSReader_resizable including a new .dll hope it will be avoid and /or solve some problems:

Co0kie_Master> I've updated the setup.dll for addon widgets. You don't need to replace the dll in your existing widgets - it's not critical. And everything is still compatible with all version. Just use the new dll for your future projects or updates.
The new dll has an additional safeguard to make sure the same widget can't be installed twice - this will only happen if the install is interrupted half way. (So far this has only happened with the RSS widget.) Nothing critical, just remember to use this new dll in the future.

EDIT 22 Nov: MINI version of the Widget_RSSReader, to be use in the 320 wide screen.

UPDATE 23DEC2010: Small update. By installing this cab the color of the text can be changed in the registry HKLU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.RSS.ColorText. By default is set white color (255,255,255) No need uninstall-reinstall the RSSReader Widget, just install Poyensa RSSReaderWidgetUpdateTextColor.cab, in fact this property is not included in the RSSReader widget cab. It should work with all versions of RSSReader Widget (co0kie's original & resizable)

BE SURE TO UNINSTALL PREVIOUS RSSREADER WIDGET BEFORE INSTALLING THIS NEW VERSION.

EDIT: To those who have issues installing.

1 remove the 1 line version
2 soft reset
3 install this version
4 when it says another version is found click yes ( it will error out... at least for me it did)
5 say no to the soft reset then try to install again and it should ask where to install.
6 soft reset and there you have it!
