FYI the script basically adjusts the CPU speed using msm7kcpuspeed via registry settings, it's safer because it tells the phone to throttle back the cpu when the screen turns off etc. 604mhz is the "safe" speed to throttle back to. |

Re: OverClock for TP2 ~ 8/8/10 NEW UPDATES! For all ROMS ~
so i installed and everything worked ok. cranked it at 787mhz? i think what someone in an earlier post from sprint and nrg rom posted. I SOD everytime the screen goes blank.. Tried pulling battery try again same thing. so i hard reset again. Ok done with that for now lol... I had throttle back to stock basically.
thanks for the info. and p.s. to those running nrg's max sense rom the older scripts may work better for you and it already does have mortscript installed. |

Ok, I'm on sprint and running the latest NRG MaxSense (best rom ever IMO) and i managed to get the new scripts working for the most part (i was experiencing SOD just like you). here's what i did: 1) installed oc_auto4.21 cab to storage card 2) copied the overclocking file from the startup folder to storage card. 3) finally, pasted a shortcut to it back in the startup folder. (I'm aware it was already a shortcut, but for some reason it stopped my SOD's) using 604 as my safe & throttle I was able to get it running @ 825.6mhz w/ polling 1000. update: now its freezing when i use the phone (but no SOD's oddly enough). back to v3 i suppose lol

Re: OverClock for TP2 ~ 8/8/10 NEW UPDATES! For all ROMS ~
Strange, maybe it's something with the rom? I am using mortscript 4.2, and mightyrom 6/20 release and using oc_auto4.21_gui and was able to run at 710mhz, 748mhz, 768mhz, and 787mhz without any problems.

Re: OverClock for TP2 ~ 8/8/10 NEW UPDATES! For all ROMS ~
So please excuse my semi-noobness. When it comes to certain things I am not the most technical person. But the OC only runs when the phone is plugged into the wall or Comp correct?
Also earlier today I had 3 major SOD's. Where I had to reset my phone. I installed the OC software this afternoon and when my battery got low that's when the sod's happened. I am running at 729. Is this normal? Or is there something that I might be doing wrong? Thanks! |

Nayr, ever figure out the problem with when I hit the top button on the phone to turn off the display and the higher settings not letting me turn it back on which results in having to pull the SD card and reboot?

hey quickdraw, nothing yet. you are the only person (that i have seen post) with this issue. i mean really the issue you describe is exactly what the scripts, etc... are designed to fix!
