i just installed it and its great im trying to get the music player on the screen when u flick it up and the clock is all the way at the top and theres all that empty space at the bottom how do u add the weather and music player on there? my first time using this mod

Just click menu then edit home layout select which screen you want it on then you can select advanced and at the bottom you can select music player and the size. Then just put it where you want it. If you don't want to go to advanced you can press and hold and add that way.

thanks alot man. one more thing when i go to menu the option for the lock screen customizations is grayed out why cant i customize the lock screen?

Have you enabled the CHT lockscreen in the CHT Editor Lockscreen settings?

I just upgraded to 1.8.5 & I am still having a problem with the lock icon. I have to keep moving things down to get it to show on the screen. I'm on MightyROM Full Force.

Can you give me some information regarding your rom info.
WinMo version.
HTC Sense, etc,
As well as any mods or apps you have installed.

If you are on an NRGz rom, that may be the problem.
He is uploading new roms tonight to fix some in rom conflicts with CHT.

Did you go and enable the lockscreen while having a password set?

Overwriting the lock screen manila worked for lock quick link.. but for some reason I feel like the fonts have changed.
Also, I have 4*4 quicklinks with 3 pages to display, if I try to increase to 4 pages the quicklinks automatically rearranges to fill the fourth page, is there way I can keep the quicklinks as is in the first 3 pages and add new quicklinks to the fourth page or am I missing something.

This is how the numbering system in manila is setup.
There is no real way for us to avoid this and it would change if we did, based on which page the user has set as default.

So, no, you actually would need to rearrange them.
But dragging and dropping is simple, and usually once you find the layout you prefer, you don't usually change that setting much if at all.

Im using the latest Mighty Rom Sense 2.5, Manilla Version 2.5.20132227.0

i havent installed anything else other than this app and the cht editor.

now im noticing when i slide to the screen where the clock is at the top of the page, and then i put the music player at the bottom in like the middle thats when the sense stops loading up

only thing left for me to try now is a hard reset not sure what the problem may be

Had you done a stock rom flash recently?
Or a task29?
It definitely has been tested with the music player enabled on the last version of Mighty Rom, with no issues.
Let me know how it goes after a hard reset.

There's also a chance that you have a corrupted music file on your SD card.
When was the last time you formatted your sd card.
Backing up important files first of course.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure there isnt a easier way. Launching HTC Sense takes forever but after that everything is great. good job to everyone who worked on it.

Well, it seems that the RAM leakage is still there, even after reverting back to v1.7.1

Currently running Sprint Stock ROM (6.5/2.5).

Do you think a hard reset/Clear Storage, followed by installing CHT as my first Cab install may remedy this?

Possibly that will fix your issue, but there are no ram leaks in CHT.
As we have debugged that aspect up and down.
The system will grow your gwes.exe file over time.
This is with or without CHT and is a flaw in my opinion with Windows Mobile and has been for a long time.
I used to get gwes.exe out of memory errors, back in the days of WM 5.1, lol.
But a hard reset and flash dance, or task29 never hurts to sort out any controllable issues. :)

I'll keep that in mind Santod. Thanks.

Hope you're feeling better.

I "power cycled" the phone last night (power off, sit for 1 min., restart) and so far she seems to stay around 63-64% usage.

I've only started using WinMo with the Mogul, then TP1, and now this - so 5.1 is a little early for me LOL.

I think I know that answer to this but will ask anyway. My company requires me to use Good Mobile Messaging (GMM) on my phone which has a built in unlock code requirement. It doesn't seem to use the WinMo lock function so I'm wondering if it'll work with CHT. Also, has anyone else used GMM with this and did it work well?

Thanks,
Deuce

Unfortunately, I cant answer for that particular Messaging system.
I know you can not use the built in pin lock with CHT, but some third party apps will work along with it, if you are wanting to double unlock.
But you can also use CHT with the CHT lockscreen off, and just use your forced, err imposed company lock software.

If you try it out, please do report your results and findings, in case it may help someone else with the same setup.

Sounds like you have installed, either BG4all,
the HQwallpaper patch, or some other mode9 mod, that has effected your setup.
Not to mention the fact, that CHT 1.8.5 disables all animated wallpapers on install.
Have you installed any mods?
Especially BG4all or the HDwalls HQwallpaper patch?
You do not need those on CHT 1.8.5 and if you have them installed, you will need to uninstall them and reinstall CHT.

noticing memory leaks to the point where my palringo, or internet browser will close because of the leaks....i know u have to cut off the weather animations to cut down on the leaks but is there anything else to help cut down on the memory leaking? i kinda wanna keep my weather animations going.

When you say memory leaking - what % are you running at?
Cause 70+% is normal on the TP2.

Re: {{Manila Mod}}Co0kie's Home Tab v1.8.5{{19-Jun-2010}}

Yeah, as I stated once already, there are no memory leaks associated directly to CHT.
These devices have low ram to start with, especially on 2.5 roms.
But there are no actual memory "leaks" associated with CHT.
I said before and will say it again, it was tested for that specifically and if any part of it actually was leaking"wasting" ram, that would have been one of the first things fixed in the Alpha Beta stages of the release.
Anyway,....

my percentages are in the mid to upper 80s if i browse the web for a while it shuts down all other apps (palringo). usually i soft reset and it fixes that issue for a while...would simply turning sense off and then back on fix that instead of a soft reset?

Not really, since I don't believe it is Sense causing the ram to climb.
Sounds to me like using your browser and having all the temporary internet files being stored is leading to your issue.
Do you clean your temp internet files now and then?
Try out CleanRam, if you are really having Ram issues.
Last words of advice, is that it is not due to HTC Sense or CHT, check your processes with a Task Manager to see what apps are causing your ram drain.
I think you would quickly find that manila(sense, CHT) is using around the same amount, pretty consistently, with no growth after extended period s of time. GWES.exe is usually what grows out of control.
Anyhow, this is irrelelvant to CHT and you should do as I suggested here and before and check your running processes with a Task Manager.
See what is really causing your ram loss, before you go assuming it's due to CHT or anything else unrelated.

remember im fresh off a hard reset im not blaming the cht or anything jus statting what ive noticed i love the app. Im aware that the tp2 is limited on ram so i expect memory leaks regardless. But once i turned off sense and went to windows default i dropped from 88% to 64%. Just was citing what i was encountering just incase these issues werent brought up yet. i cleared my temp internet files so ill give it a try again just to see any differences. Like i said i love the app. jus trying to help point out the any possible issues

Alright one more question, I finally figured out how to sync my phone to my outlook exchange server. Now when I lock my phone the lock screen shows my calendar with the next upcoming task. Is there a way to disable it? I am using the default screen and not the CHT lockscreen since mine is password protected. The question in regards to CHT is whether I can show the calendar on my home screen just above the quicklinks, I see tasks and appointments but neither of them show the calendar from the outlook.

Ok quick question, I am not sure if this is the right place to as or not, but how do you get the hdwalls program to skin the taskbar? I have seen others that do it, but i am not sure if they are running the CHT 1.8.5.1.... also does anyone know how to remove the carrier name from the home screen?

If so, taskbar and softkey bar skinning is built in.
The default wallpaper mode is now High Quality, just set your wallpaper in the CHT right softkey menu, which is also where you would skin the bars from.

To remove carrier text, that is in the miscellaneous settings of the CHT editor.

If you are not using CHT, then yes, you are in the wrong thread. :)

Yes I am using CHT, and it is 1.8.5.1. as always thank you Santod. I found the carrier text, and changed that thank you.

But I dont see an option to skin the taskbar and softkeys, I have it set to using HDwalls, I guess I should set it to high quality then in order to skin the bars?

Co0kies Home Tab is 1.8.5
Co0kie's Home Tab Editor is 1.8.5.1

Now that that's out of the way, you should just use the new HQwallpaper feature built into 1.8.5 to skin the bars, as there is no cabbing necessary and the quality is equal to HDwalls, if not better.

When you tap your right softkey on the Homescreen, labeled MENU, then set wallpaper, you should see an option at the bottom to skin both bars or each bar individually.
Do you not see that option in your menu?
