Hey santod,
thanks to you and the entire team, fantastic work! I used the 2.0 beta since about day 1, and final since a couple hrs from its release. :) Your challenge log doesn't lie, absolutely great, 100% improvement over the beta in terms of stability.

The only bug i have found is that the auto mark as read feature works perfectly on the email widget, but not on the messaging widget. If it is enabled, it marks the txt as read whether or not a view the widget. So often it marks the txt as read before i unlock the phone. Am i the only one having this problem? O, and lastly, i get some serious lag about 50% of the time on the hd mini style lockscreen (black screen), am I the only one with this problem too??

Thanks in advance!
(and I'm always running the newest NRG, wm6.5 build 21916.5.0.93 sense 2.5 build 2019 with cht2.0 final cooked in, sencity theme.)

Thanks, glad you are liking it.
For the SMS and Email widgets, have you tried the Mark Message As Read setting in each respective widgets settings page in the CHT Editor?
Perhaps you wanna uncheck this, or if it is already unchecked, then maybe on your rom, try it enabled and set the timeout to 20 seconds.
This setting is currently working just fine here, on latest NRGz rom(non-sencity) during my tests to reproduce it.
Though CHT was not cooked in, it was installed by cab.
So perhaps NRGz has already adjusted this setting his own way for you.??

The lag in the lockscreen, mostly comes from the fact that it is built on top of the WinMo lockscreen, so essentially Windows must load, so that Sense can load, so that the lockscreen can appear.
Obviously this is not the most efficient way for this to work and that is not exactly how it happens.
But it gives an idea of what is going on there anyway.
Of course you realize, the lag is much less on an HD2.
Now having said that, don't think that an alternative approach for this isn't being looked into. ;)

Does anyone find the messages widget hard to scroll through the messages. For me its like a hit or miss. I can swype 10 times and not have it scroll once and other times it scrolls just one way.

I have yet to scroll once down and once up. Its so frustrating. So I avoid using it all together.

The same with the email widget I dont even know if it scrolls because it never does.

Anyways I'm in no way ungrateful because you've created an excellent add on here santod.

I have not encountered any issues with those widgets being non-responsive when swiping, or had any other reports of it.
Are you sure you have a clean install of 2.0 Final?
Did you install it over 2.0 Beta or 1.8.5?
I can't see any other reason that you would have those types of issues.
Especially since I have not heard this mentioned once yet, after thousands of downloads, between here and XDA.

Dam!!!

Well thats a pretty definitive answer!

Idk It was cooked into sharkies v2.0r2 rom.

I dont know I guess Ill try a hard reset or reflash and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the reply.

I have noticed this as well ^. I only use the txt widget and most the time it won't scroll, flick it up/down nothing, yes I have more than 1 message. Same rom as above, offical 2.0 r 1. And using final cht.

May I suggest a different rom then maybe.
When cooked in properly. I have no issues with these widgets.
Not saying Sharkie does a bad job, just saying that there is a commonality there worth looking at, besides CHT itself. ;)

Re: {{Manila Mod}}[12-Nov-2010] Co0kie's Home Tab v2.0.0 - Final Released

We, the CHT teams, have found a solution for the 10 slots for widget issue.
After we had changed things we are now in state to use 20 widgets at all (0..19).
It is tested on HD2 and TP2 WM phones, and it's running without any issue until now.

The new file was tested by santod040, MichelDiamond, poyensa and Mike2nl.

My last test was to use 20 widgets on the HD2 about the performance. And yes it does the work http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif.
How to install the fix:

1. unzip the manila file
2. switch off sense
3. copy the 7c60907d_manila file o the \Windows directory
4. restart your phone
5. swicth on sense
6. have fun to install more widgets now
7. follow the install routine from every widget
Last but not least, thank you to all involved team members...

stuck on the rom but i'll mention it to sharkie and see if he can look into it. do you know what files might need double checking for this issue or is it not that simple? i do remember is working when final just came out and i would install via cab but just didnt really notice till modmy pc mentioned it as well (i know he was on the same rom)

i felt the same way when i first used the beta, but i realized it was where i was pressing on the screen. if you start the upward/downward swipe with your finger in the middle of (or at least inside) the message box it should always work. Hope this helps

Yes, rom issue I would have to say.

Why not just try installing CHT 2.0 Final by cab over top of cooked in CHT and see if that helps?
Worth a shot.
Or see if Sharkie can give you the same rom without CHT and install by cab.
It always seems better to me from .cab install.
Not sure how or why different chefs introduce new issues when cooking it in.
But it may very well have to do with his CHT configuration for his default layout.
Not really sure and don't have the time to troubleshoot his rom setup currently.
If I get the time at some point, I can try looking.
But I just don't have it right now.
I suggest trying a clean rom with CHT installed by cab, or to even try as I said and install the cab on your current rom and see if the issue is resolved.
Good luck. :)

that's the thing, its not actually cooked in per say but installed as cab on first boot, giving option to un install by user. He also has a remix of s2w skin, which is why I haven't un installed, I like the skin. The rom is already set up on mY end, so I don't feel like nor have the time to test on a new flash. Just got a third job, and my time is limited now

Sorry about the delay in replying, but thank you so much for the reply and the through answers. I read the manual more closely and managed to get it how I prefer it. With using Mobileshell, I was used to just two screens (flipping up/down), and now with CHT I'm elated to find out that I can do that, and it has these cool little animations, FTW.

Great work! =D>

Ive tried 3 or 4 different themes. this 2.0 is really acting up on me more than the 1.8.5. Sometimes phone locks up, and neither the widget or the send key will pop up the dialer screen. the taskbar disapears suddenly, and my landscape mode takes FOREVER to load. sometimes regret even tryin to use the keyboard. Anyone else having these problems?

1.8.5 I would love to change the format for the date. Remove the alarm info and make the font MUCH Bigger, so I can actually see the date. Any ideas on how to do that?

yesterday it finally hard reset all on its own. I just had too many themes installed over and over again I think. working smooth now, with a fresh flash and the 2.0 cab and simlicit red by s2w.

I got 1 problem, weather animation wont work. I remember there being somethin on 1.8.5 special i had to do i think. Its been 4 months since my last flash, so im a little foggy. I dont remember if it was a rom problem, or cookie. and I dont seem to have a cab in my reputar that would fix it, so im assumin it was a reg hack. Anyone know how to trigger my weather widget. Ive turned the setting on within cht editor. I dont have back4all or anything like that. the weather widget will just not trigger to the on position.

You say the weather widget will not turn on?
You mean the weather "Toggle" switch?
You should be able to just add the weather toggle as a quick link or free link and then switch it on or off.
This doesn't work for you??

yes, that is correct. The button does nothing. and im adding it as a free link widget. i actually think its rom related, i seen a post in mr big x rom thread about it. it was fixed with an nrgy cab, but the link has been pulled since then. any suggestions? havent tried hd walls, but would rather not as the cookies gives the same affect. just want the animated weather to work.

I think I need this cab: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/1826130-post6155.html

I would not advise that cab you linked.
However THIS may be what you are needing on your rom.
Not sure though and you may need this and then CHT reinstalled to get it going.
But maybe just the cab will do.

New widgets posted here today
There are a few ways of working around the replication issue.
If I get a chance, I'll link you to the posts regarding those options.
They are posted at XDA.

I already posted this on Sharkies rom thread however I think this may be a CHT 2.0 issue and not a rom issue so I will repeat it here.

is anyone experiencing problems with CHT quicklinks widget.

I have my quicklinks on the page below my home screen. Its 4 rows. and I have a 3 page setup.

Well The most common problem is that My quicklinks from One page sometimes migrates to the same spot in a different page and overides the quicklink in that spot. If you select it it will launch the overridden link. Sometimes it stays for days..
  • phone from 3rd page was overriden by wifi router 2nd page a few days back but as you can see its returned to its original state
  • wifi was overridden by total commander a few days ago its back to its original.
  • Right now: silent (from 3rd page) is being overridden by google on its corresspond row and column (2nd page)
Other times quicklinks will just override a different quicklink in the same page.

Right now Clean ram is being overridden by websterbank on the second page. Webster banks original location is on the second row third column. If I select webster bank (the one thats overridding clean ram) it will launch websterbank not clean ram.

Now there seems to be no pattern to this.. Sometimes ill just reset my phone to find my quicklinks all messed up and other times it will run a few days without this happening. Whats even stranger is sometimes it will go back to its original quicklink and the overridding quicklink will be gone but the one it overridden will remain.

Sometimes I try running clean ram and reset the phone. It didn't help but for some reason I did a sof reset didn't help when I wanted to. Then I look at it today and it went back to its original quicklink.

Its always with quicklinks that have already been set. It wont occupy a blank quicklink.. and applications wont set itself. Meaning it has to already be a quicklink to override a quicklink.

Hope this is enough info and im clear enough.

Edit looks like I just read up and its a common problem...

Re: {{Manila Mod}}[12-Nov-2010] Co0kie's Home Tab v2.0.0 - Final Released

It seems that this is an constant issue. Newmaint found what he terms a solution. I have copied my post from the EnergyROM Thread here to see if prompts any action:

if you go into CHTeditor and edit your pages & levels, then change your Home Swipe levels to Lowest 0 and your Widget Pages (portrait) to 3, then go to Edit Home Layout (be on Level 0) and edit Extra Space - slide right and delete all the widgets - then slide all the way left and you will find a rouge widget for restart in the upper left corner (once I deleted this I havent had any problems with widets moving around randomly in 2.0 - just thought I would let people know about it, since you won't see it unless you set up the CHTeditor pages & levels and delete the toggle switch widgets (which will have moved into the extra space area) the way I stated above.)

OK. The above procedure does work, and there is a little reset device link hiding up in there. Now two more questions, Does this fix CHT2000? Can this be done via the registry?

The problem with the first question is that I only start noticing problems when using CHT2000 for a little while. Getting it all loaded up with the things I want and using it a week or so. Hard to do on the test device. I wonder if this should be posted to the CHT Thread....
