i use to use Max TTM to skin my bars, until i noticed my tp2 starts up alot faster without it. now i use hdwalls to skin the bars and let CHT do the rest. i installed hdwalls, selected regular wallpapers in CHTE and it works fine.

Puff601, thanks for answering my question. Just to make sure, you are saying to install HDwalls, however, in the CHTE select the regular wallpaper option and anytime I change regular wallpaper (not HD wallpaper) it will do the same thing Max TTM was doing? Santod, I read the FAQ on wallpaper and I just didn't see this question answered. I will read it again. Thanks to both of you.

Can anyone explain what B4ALL cab is for? I installed the Co0kie home editor but the B4ALL cab was one of the cab file along with it so not sure what it is for or whether I should install it. Is there a thread with a screenshot with B4ALL. I am new to smartphone so pardon my ignorance..

Backgrounds for all Tabs, makes your wallpaper show on all your manila tabs.
It is built into CHT 1.8 and should not be installed seperately.
I have this information posted in the original post, right above the download link.

If you open up the Co0kie Home Tab Editor,
Tap the right softkey "menu" button.
Then export settings.
Once you have uninstalled the old CHT and CHT editor and have soft reset, you can install the new one along with the new editor.
Then in the same softkey "menu" option in the editor, import the settings file you exported before.

There is also a video link in the second post of the thread about the Editor and how to use it.

Thanks, Santod, for the response. I see in the CHT editor where application defaults can be changed, but no program here for bluetooth. Is there somewhere else in the editor or registry where the bluetooth stack (which I assume in NRG is BTTrayCE.exe) can be specified? Thanks again.

Yes, it should be at the bottom of the Applications list if you scroll to the bottom. :)
Let me know if that's not the case.

No, as you will be uninstalling CHT.
Please save it to your storage card, where you can find it to import later.

Has anyone else experienced this? Slide the appointments widget all the way down to show all appointments and leave it. After a few mins, I go back to the home screen and in the upper left, I have start and the screen is frozen. Looking at NRZG 23569.

I have not seen that happen on NRGz rom.
But I also have not used it cooked in.
Which one of his roms are you running?
He had a couple of issues with how he cooked the first CHT 1.8 roms and redid them.
Or are you using an NRGz rom without CHT cooked in?

Edit: never mind figured it out. We should go to edi quicklinks and add them again. it isnt there by default.

My device is auto locking on standby even with the setting disabled. I installed cookie mod today, and it started it doing this after a soft reset. I tried turning it on and off but it stays on either way.

yep you have it right except every time you want to change the regular wallpaper, you must change the HDwalls to a matching one... Luckily i have almost 50 hdwalls that skin the bars and ive got the regular wallpapers to match. this will work for me until the hdwalls bug is fixed. I posted a screenshot of how it looks

@Santod if CHT could skin the taskbar & softbar using regular wallpaper, that would be awesome! :headbang:

I messed it up bad. I installed the version 1.8 today and had my default lock set up with password and disabled the CHT lock. Unfortunately when I locked my phone, i used the lock icon from the cht editor and its asking for password. I dont know how to hard reset since I am not able to power off the phone. Any help is really appreciated.

Did you not see the warning when you enabled the CHT lockscreen?
Pull your battery out, if you can't turn it off.
Then hard reset.

I did pull my battery out and when I put it back in and the phone automatically turns on. Dumb question, can I hard reset with the battery out? coz when I pulled the battery out and placed it back in , the phone rebooted and gives me a password screen (CHT editor font screen not the windows one) I even tried entering the password it didnt accept it. I disabled the cht lockscreen, the phone resetted and only after that I turn on the password lock but I guess I used the password icon from the editor which caused the problem.

great stuff... lovin the toggle switchs and notification quick lnks. i never used the muzic tab, so i disabled it and now i can keep it disable and use it w/ the home widget keeping function. great idea w/ the wallpaper settings..seperate walls 4 home/other tabs/lockscreen, x2 w/ landscape

looked over the future plans section...so just gonna throw out there my thoughts in case not already mentioned and if you dont mind. 4 the toggle switchs: thought it would have auto backlight. and w/ the new color txt option maybe expandable threw out sense ui. (reason 4 that is i have white backround on all tabs and it has the white txt but my home background is paradise pic so white txt is gud but would like 2 change other tabs 2 black.) tried a cab found on xda but it broked sense.

edit: just thought bout it an the color txt on other tabs (seperate from home) doesnt make sense for a cookie "HOME TAB" mod, sorry but still could be useful

Hey, I'm at work so can't test thi out, but it looks amazing!...one question, will the lock screen show how much time is left before the alarm goes off? S2U2 does this and its really the only reason I use it so I can quickly turn the phone on and see that I have 7hours and 32minutes before the alarm goes off...

No, it will not have an alarm counter showing on the lockscreen.
You can have it display the alarm, which shows the time it is set for, and also show many different clock layouts. But you would have to do some short math, to see how much time between now and when your alarm will go off.

Here you go bud.
CHT 1.8 and CHT Editor 1.8

You will also need to add the below reg entry in CHT Editor app.reg so that the CHT Editor option, in the right softkey menu will work:

Code:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"CHTE.Path"="\\Program Files\\CHTEditor\\CHTEditor.exe"

Note to all: This is for Rom Cooking only, not a stand alone package.

I wont pretend to be a chef, but have you imported all the reg files?
I really don't want this to be a how to cook CHT thread, but will help with what I can.

Don't cook in the file "ManilaFull.xml". Originally it's a manila cache file that's generated on start up (based on the xml files in \windows\manilaxml\).
This file should never be cooked in because it will prevent changes to manila pages and menus.
The "ManilaFull.xml" in the cab is an empty file. It's only there to make manila regenerate it after install, because I've made changes to the home menu.
So make sure not to cook in that file in any form.

Don't cook in the CHT lockscreen as on by default. If you do that, users won't be able to turn it off!

Just a heads up, the reg edit is already included in the Editor EXT and ManilaFull.xml is excluded from CHT 1.8 (the zipped file is from my kitchen, I posted it yesterday)
