Where are the home screen shortcut icons located?

I'm sure this is answered a million times, my search terms must just be wrong.

Running 6.5 with sense 2.5, and I'd like to edit my home shortcut icons in photoshop. It seems all I can find are the start menu icons, which as you know aren't the same.

What directory are the large home shortcut images in?

They should be in the window's directory.

Thanks. They might be in the root directory under nondescriptive names. Look, for instance, at google maps. There's one icon in the start menu and a completely different one that shows up if you add it to your home page. I've looked through the windows folder for .gif and .png items and haven't found what I'm looking for.
