It would be helpful to know what Version of Manila you are on. Making a military theme would not be all that difficult and being that I have the day off, if you respond to this soon I could see what I can come up with. I'll need your manila version and if you are running 2.5, do you have the cookie mod or maxmanila installed. Please be as detailed as you can with all mods so I get it right for you the first time.

Also, since you are a marine, I would want to make sure I use the right camo and such. So if you could provide sample graphics for the camo and whatever specific logos that pertain to your rank, job (I.E. infantry or intel), etc it would help. Basically since this is your request, I will cater it to exactly what you want. Let me know soon and I'll get on it.

I am using bigcookie 23558 found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=115738 I was an E-5, cammo pattern here http://images2.layoutsparks.com/1/24...camouflage.jpg I was an ammunition tech but you dont have to put any bullets in or anything I mainly would love to have the clock for cookie with an eagle globe and anchor. and some tweeking on the slidebar. Sorry I could respond to you any sooner

I don't know how to do it or I would but I would like to thank scenemaker for being willing to do this. Its great to see that any support that could be given to members of the military.

I don't have the manila files for the documents, reader, footprints or facebook. Can anyone help me out with the slider files for these tabs? I won't be changing anything else on those tabs, just the slider icons.

Sorry i didnt get back to you in my thread, but i see a lot of potential in a military based theme... so many options and directions to go....

I have started the theme. I'll hopefully release something basic either tonight or tomorrow night. Probably just a home screen change for now and build up from there.

I'm gonna give this theme a bump...

an analog clock based on the Eagle, Globe and Anchor would be very cool

I'll look for the digital camo patterns for the Marine Corps...and post the links here when I get a chance...

Attached several sample images to help the theme builders to get started.

Please be advised that the official colors for the Marine Corps are scarlet and gold. We work well with green, OD (olive drab) green and/or tan.

Ok, so I took a few minutes to start a couple ideas anyway.
I will post a picture of the clock ideas I had with just the one logo so far.
These are just rough starts, haven't spent but a short few minutes on it so far.
Anyway, here's what I got so far for analog ideas, any input, or feedback.
Ideas, things to use instead, or change? Let me know. :)

very nice....like the clocks...I was thinking you'd come up with something like that. Let me post a few more images to help get folk started. Maybe a "less colorful emblem"...I'll look for other branches as well...to keep everyone happy

Or do we want one we can read, lol.

I can do both, no problem.
I've just never been a huge fan of having a watch face on my phone, personally. Feedback is needed before I commit to any one thing or idea.

my 2 cents...shrink the emblem some...so the clock can be read.

not sure if we want the camo inside the clock face like the wrist watch, but that's just me.

all in all, it looks good.

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their support in this. Santod I like that last clock you just posted that is nice looking. I am thinking the green marlant pattern for the background. as far as the slider goes I was actually just let some of the creative minds just blow me outta the water. just being honest

here is a pic that my ex gf sent me and I thought was kinda cool if you would rather use it as a background. I have used it before as a background but it makes it kinda hard to see other things on your phone.

Santod, I previously did a Military theme for a co-workers Moto Q9C. I'll is I can dig up the images I used there. BTW, I think the middle watch face is the best. The other two are good, but I think the middle pops more.

I am glad someone finally got involved and is helping with this. I tried this months ago and no one seemed interested then. I made some hd walls backgrounds for a sub awhile back. But couldn't get anyone to help with stuff like sliders and clocks. The post should still be there somewhere if anyone wants to use it for a theme.

Here they are....I'm not sure how you attach a thumbnail....I'll have to look into that...saw someone instructions around here somewhere. Hope you like and can use these...

I especially like the Captain America one. The artist for that one was Michael Turner (R.I.P.) he was an awesome artist !!

update: Go figure! didn't realize simply attaching the files caused a thumnail. Cool!

I will look around for sound to add to the them im thinking the marine hyme for a ring tone, call to attention for slide out, call for rest slide in, taps for text messages ect. ect.

Indeed, there is much more to a theme then just an analog clock. :shock:
The analog clock only applies to those using CHT even.

A theme is made of many components and I was asked if I could maybe help out in here, so I have offered to do so.

It seemed like a collaborative effort was what was being done here.
If not, then I WILL finish it up. ;)
If there is anyone who was actually wanting to to do this, jump in, name your part.
Slider, sounds, notifications, highlights, flip clock, transparencies or curtains, Start Icons, wallpaper, the list can go on from there.
But there's some of the basics of a mid level theme.

I can supply some of the sound files mentioned...

@Santod, I'm new to skinning...and building themes...so I'm not sure how much I can contribute. I'll post the sound files later this evening...and I'll round up some icons (for the slider)

I have the CFC Gui like you suggested...so I'll try and put those into manila files...

I'd like to contribute, but it'll be limited to my knowledge on how at this point.
