Something I just thought of too is that now that you have edited the file from you PC you can move all of the files to your phone in some non "Windows" location and follow the directions without the code modification. In other words, copy the contents of the windows folder to the Windows directory again from the phone, use Task Manager v3.1 registry editor to run (Import) the appFacebook.reg file, then copy the 269 Manila file (already edited) back into the Windows directory, and then delete the manilafull.xml and delete the key "configuration" as mentioned above. Do all of this from your phone. I think you Configuration key mishap is due to the .reg file not registering. Make sure to do this step from inside task manager v3.1. It will allow you to "Import" the .reg file so it enumerates correctly. Let me know if you need help with this.

Try making it Read Only again after you have saved it. You can also copy it to another location on the device and then from Total Commander or Resco on the device, copy it into the Windows directory. I think you still have to make it read only again for the second option too. Near the end of the tut, you will see the Read Only directions. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want to try the cab

well i did everything except delete that config file because i still cant find it... but looks like im gunna have to test your cab file. lets do it

Yea so was I at first. took me a while to get it. only because the instructions are not to specific at all. I finally got it working though. What i messed up on, was putting the windows folder that you download from the attachment into my windows directory in my phone and also putting the appfacebook.reg file in the windows directory. put i found the readme file thats in the attachment to be more helpful. It was a little more specific. I had to open the windows folder, that you download from the attachment and copy those files into my windows directory in my phone. Then after that i had to put the appfacebook.reg file in the root of the phone. if anyone needs help message me ill give you a specific step by step. its actually pretty easy

Problem... Is anyones facebook tab as worthless as mine? maybe i did something wrong, but it is working. here is the problem- it dont tell me any update statuses of my friends, like the pics show on this thread. the only thing there is "me" and my fb pic. i can click on "me" and see my notifications, like messages comments etc. other than that the tab is just so plain...anyone else have this problem, or know how i can fix this? thanks in advanced!

have you linked friends in your phone book to actual facebook friends?

okay i see what you mean, you just go to your contacts and scroll to the bottom and link your friends. thats kickass. im glad i installed this tab its so cool. thanks btw

really? i think you must install this tab first, i assume you've already done that?

Now slide to contacts, click all people, click on a contact, Edit Information, scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see. It says Facebook Link.
