my notifications bar says i have a text but i dont. is there a way to clear that?

Read the last couple pages of this thread, it should help you with that.

Particularly this:
Try these changes in the registry: All you need to do is change the Dword to 0 (zero)
[HKCU/System/State/Messages/SMS/Unread] --> "Count = dword: 0"
[HKCU/System/State/Messages/MMS/Unread] --> "Count = dword: 0"

Hey Santod. This fix works.. but only temporarily.
I still get ghost texts popping up in the notification bar.
I have to go to RegEdit every time and apply these changes.
Any way to get them to stick?
