Santod, I have a bit of a problem. I am running Mighty Impact. I am a few weeks into this ROM (love it for the most part) but am also still a bit new to smart phone and custom roms (lots of time on AXIM PDA & reg. phone). I had setup a configuration on Impact with the separate side_by_side_only cab and a 16 Quick Links1922_R2 cab that I was pretty satisfied with but read enough on Co0kiesHomeTab_v1.6.1 to try to evolve to Co0kies solution. In attempting to uninstall the prior version and install Co0kies 1.6.1 solution, I got into a 'mell of a hess' since the prior cabs apparently didn't fully uninstall and the 1.6.1 cabs didn't install correctly. I did a hard reset and reinstalled up to Co0kiesHomeTab and the editor and all seems to be working fine. My question involves trying to get the 'side by side' into Co0kie's 1.6.1. In looking back through this thread and it seems that you have recommended several cabs but the difference isn't obvious to me. Could you point me to the 'best' Adv Home Tab for a fresh MM Impact with Co0kiesHomeTab? TIA and sorry about a somewhat newbie question.

No problem!

There have been a few variations, for sure.
For Co0kie's Home Tab 1.6.1, I would suggest you to try the one in THIS post here.

Next time you have uninstall issues. Try reinstalling and then uninstalling the files you want to remove. Or you can use SKtools, or look at the files in the cab and delete them from your device manually.

Anyhow, that is the latest one for 1.6.1.
Also know, that once you install a mod such as that one on top of another mod, such as Co0kies, where they share the same files, the first mod will not uninstall cleanly, after removing the second one.
So once removing the side by side. To remove, or restore the normal Co0kie mod, you would want to uninstall and reinstall it, to get it back to how it should be.

Many thanks. Good news for me is that was one of the two that I had it narrowed down to. I did understand the 'layering' of dependent or overlapping cabs but I was doing enough by bits and pieces early on that I may have been my own worst enemy.

Is Co0kie home tab uninstallable because I've tried numerous times and it just hangs. Left it for about 15 min to see and nothing it's still there.

Are you trying to install one of the 16 links cabs or something? Best to use the cookie home tab editor. you can set how many links, & if you dont want that many links pages you can change it there as well. Also has a nice set of other options to turn things off and on

Yes, it's uninstallable.
Try SKtools, if you don't wanna try the reinstall method that I have already mentioned.
