**(2-17-10)** UPDATE
~ Clock Array with 16 Links and B4all(portrait&landscape)v.2 Added!
~This does not include an analog clock, just the array setup.
~ You must install a stand alone analog clock on top of this. I suggest you install the cab, then an analog clock, then reset.
This is done for clean uninstall purposes.
You can find a few of my stand alone analog clocks HERE.
I will post more options when I get a chance. If you wanna provide me with your own, I can cab them up as well.

Until then, you can use the existing reg file and manually edit the last 4 like this.
Manual way:
You can change the text in the registry:
hkey_local_machine / Software / HTC / Manila / Home / x / DispName
(0 =< x < 9,16, or 20)

Just remove the display name and enter a "SPACE", or it will not accept "nothing" as an entry.:thumbleft:

These cabs will install the Portrait and Landscape Bg4all as well as the 16 or 20 Quick Links. You can also install my Basic Clock Array on top of this.(NRGz rom ~ No B4all version). Should work on most roms.


If you are using the stand alone version and want to try any of these, please uninstall the old one first, reset your device and then install the new one.

These cabs also make it so that whatever animated wallpaper you choose will play the animation on top of your selected wallpaper. It's pretty cool, but if you want the one that came with the animated wallpaper, you will have to extract it from the cab and select it as you would any other wallpaper to use it. It's nice cause you can use any animation, with any background image.

*NOTE:
~ To get the weather animations back after selecting an Animated wallpaper:
~ Just select Animated wallpaper again and select the picture of the Lightning storm.
~ You will then have your weather animations back and can set wallpaper for all tabs as usual again!:thumbright:


If you don't like the colored Saturday and Sunday on the calendar:
Delete the 6f3f0c16_manila and 071b4c9a_manila files from your windows folder and they should be replaced by the roms default ones.

RELEASED!!! (1-16-10)

So I am releasing the first version of my 16 Quick Links for 2.5.1922 roms only!
Now also working on 2.5.2011 and 2.5.2012.

This will stop the landscape B4all from showing full screen in landscape, with the landscape B4all installed. You can install both, but you will then have the black column on the right in landscape, as you did before the Landscape B4all mod was released.
I am however, now working on making them play nice together as well. 8-)

Soon, you will see, my clock array with landscape B4all and 16 quick links all in one cab.
Also just the 16 links and Landscape B4all in one cab.

Right now it is stand alone and known to work just fine with Portrait B4all.

This has been tested on different roms and different devices as well. So far it has worked on all, that were running 2.5.1922 that have been tested.

Install the cab to main memory and soft reset the device!

Ok, as some of you are aware, I have been working hard at trying to get us a working 16 Quick Links cab for Sense 2.5.1922, which has posed a great challenge for me with this new landscape mode.

I'd give it a shot. I love testing/breaking programs. I do it for work a lot. Also, worst case is you reflash, and I think most of us do that pretty regularly anyhow.

I don't use BG4All, just your other stand alone mods. Are they compatible with this?

Yes, so far they are! Though experiences may vary depending on the rom. I have tried a few, but not as of today. I have been resetting so much, just to start fresh with the files every so often. I feel you gotta test stability before and after adding programs! Just done so much lately! Arrgghh!

FIRST AND FOREMOST I LOVE ALL THE MODS YOU DO AND OPTIONS YOU CREATE FOR US!! i love testing stuff,so a alpha release i would try in a sec. but thats me.i enjoy testing seeing what works with this and what doesn't and ect. lol,im for it cause to me it's not that big of a step to take but i will respectively wait on your release of any mods.....................i don't like the 2nd poll choice lol

Thanks! Looks like you're one of the few who are even interested at this point. I guess I don't blame everyone. They just want a workin cab. They see the screenshots and just move on I guess.

That's fine! I was also hoping that maybe somehow, someone else that is fluent with Lua scripts, could maybe lend a hand in this. But it seems there are no interested parties for that either. Guess I will continue working on it, but due to lack of interest, maybe not so hard! LOL! Haven't had much sleep this week. Many late nights.

So if anyone thinks they could assist me with editing my current Lua scripts, that would be great! :coffee: PM me, if so. Thanks!

No longer in search of help, obviously. Just thought this post needed an update.
Since I had finished this a while ago. The 16 and 20 links cabs are all final and working as they should.

I would love to see an alpha version as well. Only issue I have with the shorcuts is it seems to slow the weather animation down alot when you add one to the home screen.

i wish i could lend you a hand im just not skilled in Lua scripts,im doing all i can to learn as much as i can lol,but im still so new to this all,i can do the easier stuff and now im trying some of the more diff. things and what not,and i understand where your coming from friend,you need to get some decent rest!! hell our tp2's ain't going anywhere lol,once i learn a bit more i will be happy to help with whatever i can :)

Too bad the text for each icon has to be specifically removed per application.
Or I'd just remove them all, move each box over 2 pixels, and call it done! Arrgghh! :cussing:
But the alignment is better now, aside from the 2 pixel offset. There is no overlap of the icons at all now, even with the slightly larger icons!

I've made a little more progress!

~I have now got them all sized down smaller.
~No more funky overlapping of the icons or the text below them!

Now to get it all moved over just a touch.
Then, to figure out why it's still reverting to a 3x3 grid in portrait, after returning from landscape.
Which then requires the "remove quick link", toggle I mentioned, to return it to 4x4.

I am posting these updates, as it seemed everyone felt left in the dark about when and why it was taking so long. I don't mean to keep anyone checking in or waiting. I am truly putting much of my spare time into this and some of my other projects that are in the works.

LOOKING GOOD BROTHER!!! saw MM 2.8 is out but im waiting on this casue i don't like running a whole theme just for quicklinks lol,i already got the clocks thanks to you bud!!! lol i know what you mean bout the poll,i did it with a thread and after about 1000+ dl only 16 votes........... couldn't understand it,clearly ppl are intrested with that many views yet nobody will click the lil button!!

I'd try this One!.. Been playing with diff settings for mms so much im reseting all the time lol. (remeber the settings in head now) lol.

The screen also looks cleaner & sleeker with smaller links.

Looks like your getting SOOOOOOOOOOO close now, your hard work IS appreciated. I personally WOULD test early versions but I kinda think there are SOME out there who would give you grief about this or that not working even though they know it's Alpha. Good luck with this project, I think the ROMs should have 4x4 by default anyway, looks less bulky and gives more in return!!

I have to agree with you on most of that!
Having them modded and cooked in would be very nice!
It sure would be a lot easier then 1 or 2 people, trying to make a cab that will work on them all. Or having to make multiple cabs for different roms. Many developers only care to make a cab that works on the rom they are running and then they are done with it. Too much for one guy to have to do, I think. But somebody's gotta do it! :rolleyes:

Gotta say (without dropping pressure on ya)... really looking forward to this mod. This is the only thing I'm missing since the new manila came out. If I knew how to code I'd be right there helping you out, but I don't. Just tried MaxManila 2.5 v2.8... a bit too heavy for my needs, all I want is the 4x4 grid, and would be more than happy to try out what you got right now

Exactly why I am doing this too!
I love all that Max has done with his Theme. However it is very heavy and has too much that I won't use, just to get the few features that I do want.
I am doing what I can to provide as many individual customizations as I can, so that we can choose only the features we want, with little or no impact on performance, with as wide a range of compatibility across roms as possible!
Anyway, thanks for the support and believe me, I'm workin' on it! :thumbleft:

As I voted - I would definately test an alpha for you and would definately use it. I tried the 2.8 Max and it screwed a lot of my War ROM up so I had to reload the backup, and from the sounds of things it is really too much anyway. That's why I love single cabs to install what parts I want.

Going to start reading up on Lua, haven't dealt with a new programming language since I was in college, especially since Lua works with Lego Mindstorms, which I used to write C code for.

I like max's cdual clock.. well one of the extra clocks but too afraid it would mess up santods.. I dont get the drain on mem with santods.

Not at all bud!
Just wasn't enough people interested in being involved in the testing, so it slows it down a little. I can only reset and flash a different rom so many times in a day. I do have to work, which also kinda gets in the way.
Working on, what I hope, is the FINAL Debugging, for all rom compatibility !
