won't the 6.5 update be 2.1 sense?? if so you won't have quick links on the home screen until it's done being ported,being worked on over @ xda but no working version just yet

no offense but i hope that doesn't happen,it's why we use santods mods to get away from the "stock" feel,i think it's kinda cool myself,a lil color on the screen than white was a nice change IMO

Maybe two versions then? White is more of a neutral color that can go with any color scheme.

Santond, I tried to install this R2 cab and the BG4ALL didn't work. My question is the R1 cab required you to install it along with the patch cab. Is this the same process for installing the R2 cab? Thanks,

I have noted in the first post, I have temporarily removed the Landscape version of my 16 links. So you do not have the landscape version it sounds like. I will be reposting it again, later. Thanks, and sorry for any confusion.
The B4all landscape does work in the new version, I am still working out a couple things on it though. Check back, there will be both versions posted and the newest one will be clearly marked Landscape. :)

thought maybe this should be posted here just in case..........

got in a debate yesterday with a few users on NRGZ 1922 roms about dusk theme saying it wouldn't work,i on the other hand disagreed and said it would since i was using it with 1-14 21885 rom release here are the pix

so i started thinking i was retarded or something so i flashed 1-14 21885 again to be sure and installed dusk and man was it messed up like they said,so then i wondered why the hell it was working flawlessly before now........i had a few mods installed when i had put dusk on yesterday so i uninstalled it and put them on 1 by 1 trying dusk 3.0 after each with no luck,(dl cab before it was pulled) so lastly i put the 16 quicklink L. bg4all cab on and tried dusk and viola it's working again :) went from being non usable to 1 minor issue (black slider not showing icons) but easily fixed

don't know why this fixes the problem with dusk but wanted to share with you santod and others.......

Let it be known, that it is no mistake, that my landscape version will allow you to use Dusk or my simple clock array setup along with it. This was intentionally planned in, so to add the most compatibility for users on other themes and roms, as well as my existing mods. This actually has opened doors for more compatibility, for other creators with their themes as well. :mrgreen:

I may just repost the landscape BG4all Quick Links version again for now, with a disclaimer, not to choose an animated wallpaper. As it seems to stay as an animated wallpaper, with no way to go back to standard weather wallpaper. You can change the weather wallpaper background image after, but the last animation chosen, will play on top of it.

Heck consider the animation over the top of any wallpaper a feature! I've made some pretty sweet combos now.....lol!

This cab will install the Portrait and Landscape Bg4all as well as the 16 Quick Links. You can also install my Basic Clock Array on top of this.(NRGz rom ~ No B4all version). Should work on most roms. The right softkey menu will show an option to Set Landscape for all tabs wallpaper, but it will trigger the weather Demo instead. To access the Landscape wallpaper setting, access it through the TouchFlo Settings tab> Personalize > Landscape all Tabs. As some people wanted their weather demo back!
Still looking into the weather animation pausing when leaving home and resuming once you return. That is the only issue at this point.
If you are using the stand alone version and want to try this one, please uninstall the old one first, reset your device and then install this one.

This cab also makes it so that whatever animated wallpaper you choose will play the animation on top of your selected wallpaper. It's pretty cool, but if you want the one that came with the animated wallpaper, you will have to extract it from the cab and select it as you would any other wallpaper to use it. It's nice cause you can use any animation, with any background image.
Here is the regedit,to get your weather animations back after selecting an animated wallpaper. :smile:

You can delete the animated wallpaper info from the registry to get your weather animations back after selecting an animated wallpaper.
HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila -> look for AnimatedBackgroundPath and HomeBackgroundPath and just delete the data that is in them. :mrgreen:

Santod, thanks for the update. I'm getting ready to install, I'll let you know how it works out. I have one question. I noticed your softkeys on the home page are different. I would love to change my left soft key. Also I noticed that your wallpaper covers the whole screeen including the taskbar and softkeys. Can I pull this off without using HD Walls? I'm using MM's Impact ROM. Thanks for your great mods!

The softkeys can be changed by selecting a different theme in the Today Settings.
As far as the full wallpaper, it's tricky and not perfect on 2.5.1922 builds so far. I have had pretty good success, using a transparent softkey theme, along with MaxTTM to make the wallpaper full screen. It does not work on all roms and will not look right without having a trans softkey theme.
Having said all that, MaxTTM also will not work with the Landscape B4all mod that's available, same with this landscape B4all 16 links mod.

I have gotten MaxTTM to work with the B4all landscape, but not perfectly. As you will notice in the pictures, it's not real a clean transition from wallpaper to the bars. The only way this will work at all with the landscape mod, is to select the same wallpaper for both Portrait and Landscape 4 all tabs. Then do the MaxTTM convert process that I have explained in a couple of my other threads. If you don't know how, or can't find it and wanna try it out. Let me know. I'll point you to my small walkthrough to setting fullscreen with MaxTTM. You would still need the Trans Softkey.tsk that I am using.
If you are interested, let me know and I'll see if I can dig up the .tsk and guide for you.

It also leaves a black line with the B4all landscape mod, when using MaxTTM, as shown here:

Santod, thanks for your quick response. I installed the cab and everything seems to be working fine. Since I'm such a noob I think I'll pass on trying to pull off the fullscreen wallpaper. But thanks anyhow. I am however interested in the changing my soft key. I'm a little confused. What do you mean when you say change the theme in the today settings?

Great! Glad it's working good for you.
Unfortunately, I don't think Mighty's roms have too many options for .tsk themes. But you can download and install other .tsk themes for your phone. They will usually change the soft keys and the taskbar color, not the icons, but the color of the bars. :)

Here's one for now. If you wanna try it, just install the cab file and then select the new theme in the list pictured above. It also changes the selection highlight.
I'll see if I can post a screen of it shortly, if you'd like.
But you can always switch back to your old theme or any other, if you don't like this one.

~ dark grey bars
~ sleek looking buttons
~ a newer green color for selected highlighted items

Santod, thanks for the theme. I will give it a try. Im embarrassed to say but I think I sent you down the wrong path. What I should have said is how to change what the soft keys do. Currently my left soft key says "phone." I want to change it to something else. I tried HD Tweaks but it didn't allow me to change it to what I wanted. It did offer a few options only. Again I apologize for the confusion.

Santod, that was real close. The cab worked however it changes the softkeys from the windows home screen not the home screen on Sense 2.5. Thanks for trying, it was almost there. lol.

santod.. any chance of an alternate 16 shortcut without affecting the calendar? The blue and red on the calendar looks like it would go well with NRGz rom but not so well with a MMWar ROM. Anyways i would be extremely grateful if you could do a standard color version!

That would be great to have the retractable slider. I already use SMSchat and Thumbcal instead of the HTC ones so that would clean my screen up even more, without disabling the tabs.

Do you think you could make a mod to add notifications to Sense? You know VM, SMS, Mail, and Missed Calls?

Possibly so, but if you would like that also, is there a specific reason you would rather not use MaxManila?
I'm just curious.
Most of these mods seem to be used by those who only want one or a few specific features that MaxManila has to offer, but don't need all the extras. Others use these mods, cause their rom won't run MaxManila. Or they just prefer to only add the features that they will use.

I did try max once he updated for 1922, but I was on MM War ROM and it didnt work. And I have heard its really heavy on your resources also. It just seems that your stuff works the best for me, and I like being able to use what I want instead of what someone wants to give me.

Fair enough! I was just checking. I know MaxM can be heavy on resources and doesn't work on Mighty, so that makes sense to use my mods instead.


I have looked at that a little in the past on 2.1, but haven't since I've been on 2.5 at all.
Maybe I will look into it again. :)

To start, THANK YOU!!!, for all your mods, It's nice to have the "pick and choose" alternative to maxmanilla, but I do have a question. Is it possible to get just a black background on the Twitter and Text Tabs, as it is hard to find wallpapers that will allow to read the text on those tabs. Thank you again for all your hard work!

Try downloading again. Uninstall, soft reset, and install again.
Which version did you use and what rom are you running?
HTC Sense version?
I have updated the landscape version,
as of yesterday and have not found any issues yet.
I have a seperate cab you can use to fix iy, if that doesn't work for you.
Let me know.

Still no go. I'm using Calk's kitchen v3, 21887 build, sense 1922. I will try v3 when available. If testing would be of help let me know.
