It has "home replacements" which can change icons and looks of it but can't be flashed with roms etc til its "rooted" and so far I don't think droid is but think g1, hero etc are. So depends on what customibility you want. Beautiful widgets gives the sense ui clock/weather and there is almost a app to replace all wm apps

how do you type an @ symbol with the hardware keyboard? lol. I set up a droid for one of my users, it is a nice phone. I personally could not live with a capacitive screen unless its the leo, then the cpu will make up for the lack of precision ;)

it has its own @ dedicated key on the bottom row. when you do alt it does ~

U can reboot and be on ur TP. There are some things not working well, like native resolution, TP runs 640x480 vs 320x480 as most droid devices do.

Droid = android the OS, not a specific device.

android ports don't work with CDMA unless its on the vogue. otherwise its just to play with it. and without the market its kind of pointless since most the fun and cool apps you have to download.

The Droid has been "rooted" as you put it ;-) Will post a link if I can find it...

yeah but theres no roms or anything just quite yet so no real use for it for "normal" users.

That's not true. I have dialed out with it on my Touch Pro. You need to get a different kernel that supports CDMA.

It steps into a new world..

Still the screen resolution is the failure, not all apps work.

Can someone pano this for me? It is a shot my brother took of me. you can cut the top and bottom of the photo off as much as you need to to keep the correct aspect ratio on the car. Thanks
