Wasn't there a computer app on XDA that simplified creating these things? I can't find the thread (I want to start making my own) but I distinctly remember it allowing you to "cut" a picture up into 3 for portrait and allowed you to do the compression and all that. Am I bugging out or did I really see this.

I can't say I ever heard of it. There is an app called HDWall that allows you to make a background and skin the task and softkey bars. Which works for background for all pages. To make your own, you really only need 2 programs. Three if you want to cab it up.

1. A decent image editing program

2. A manila editor. (I use CFC GUI.)

3. A cab creator. (HDWall has a basic cab creator in it)

I was just wondering if there would be any way someone can make just a plain blackground, all the other roms with colors and stuff make it hard to read the white letters...
Please I really would appreciate just plain black....

Gimp is the program XDA said to cut up the images in three pieces since you can make it set a box to highlight at 512x512
