I tried this version as well, and I can say it does seem just a tad zipper. I even flashed to that Sprint ROM you mention, but it really didn't seem to help with the performance of this app.

i do like the fact that you can listen to live radio broadcasts from each team...

Too slow to be usable on my on my TP. Phone gets hot and battery drains FAST.

I installed it on my Verizon TP2 and it works fine (besides running slow as crap).

Yuppers thats about the ONLY thing that is usable on the app, and even that performs horrible too, not to mention that radio sucks

If you go to sprint website, and go to downloads, the new upgrade for TP has NFL Mobile and Nascar Mobile along with a lot of other things in it already. I downloaded it and the NFL Mobile works great.

It says my phone is not eligible for this software...
