Change CMyPhotos screen name from "Pictures" to "pictures"?

I tried editing chomeres.dll in a hex editor, but so far I'm not able to change the Pictures plugin to have a lower-case label.

Does anyone know how to do that?

On my phone, you have to edit cmhomeres.dll.0409.mui (in addition to cmhomeres.dll?)

Now that both have been changed, my screen reflects it. I don't know if only the mui file by itself would have been enough.

Im trying to do the same thing, except make some of my panels capital lol. Do you do the hex editing on a computer, or on the phone itself?

Re: Change CMyPhotos screen name from "Pictures" to "pictures"?

Im having trouble doing this. I tried downloading the hex editor XVI32, but when I open the dll files nothing shows up in the grid. Am I using the wrong kind of hex editor or something?

Re: Change CMyPhotos screen name from "Pictures" to "pictures"?

Ok. What exactly are you trying to change? From memory, I downloaded a hex editor from snapfiles.com that I ran on my computer.

I connected the phone to the computer and copied the dll files to my desktop.

I was able to see into the dll's with the hex editor. Somehow the titles have 00 between them so pictures was P 00 i 00 c 00 t 00 u 00 r 00 e 00 s. So I pretty much searched for, say P 00 i 00 c 00 and when I found it, changed P to p then saved it.

Then I put the dll files back into my windows directory.

I think I used hexplorer

Let me know what step stops you.

Re: Change CMyPhotos screen name from "Pictures" to "pictures"?

Thanks for the help, the only panel I need to change now (the person who did my ROM was kind enough to capitalize the other ones) is the email panel. I cant find any dll files titled "email" in my windows folder. I wonder if its called something else

Re: Change CMyPhotos screen name from "Pictures" to "pictures"?

I must be doing something wrong, because I cant figure out what to change. When I click on Manual Edit Item Values, I have two boxes, and on the left is the list of all my panels. I click on CEmail and now on the box on the left it says "Images", and in the box on the right it says "DisablePageCounter", "GUID", "ICONPATHS", and "LocName". The only one that looks like it might be what I need is Locname, and when I click on it the box on the top of the screen says Email. but it has the E in email already capitalized, whereas on my today screen the word email isnt capitalized. Im sorry if I am misunderstanding what you guys are saying. Blazingwolf, the creator of my ROM, already had CHomeeditor in the ROM, and he was the one that told me I had to edit it through the DLL files.
