I asked Colonel about this yesterday, and he said that the password-protected roms are just too unstable for public release yet. Stand by - I am sure that as soon as he feels confident enough about a new rom, he will make it available to everyone.

Played with the new 10/18 colonel ROM....very nice indeed!

On another side note, I also flashed the Alltel ROM for the first time last night updating the radio to 1.40. It didn't increase any coverage or signal strength but it increased my EVDO speeds greatly. I'm in one of those areas where even though you are on Sprint voice service, the phone is attached to Alltel's EVDO. I could never get a decent speed on any application with EVDO unless it was very late at night. Speed tests would run around 100-200k during the day with 700k at night. Now they are 700k during the day and 1100k at night. Maybe the new radio file works better on Alltel's EVDO band....

hi all, i'm trying to get to the ftp site tethered to my pc via the 6800, but getting this weird error "Error: Requested content 'up.ppcgeeks.com/apache' cannot be processed due to error while parsing request." any ideas i really want to try the rom!

Colonel you Rock .... You are the man ... For everybody that doesn't know he took all the steps to flash the rom and put them an EXE file. In otherwords AUTOPILOT

And he pack this Rom with plenty of GOODIES ....

BTW... So far only thing I cant get to work is Java ....(message says it cannot be open ... even tried to replace the files)

i also noticed that there are not any more roms in Colonels ftp section....

Negotiator you must think I trippin .... I just looked in his file and they are all gone ... but an hour or so ago I downloaded one call oct18 ....
I have in running in my mogul testing it right now.
