the sounds effects are pretty tight...just sounds interesting when i do a soft reset (which is very frequent with these new buggy roms...not jus colonels) and the office is lookin' around like 'what the hell is that'...i'd prefer to jus be able to tinker around with my phone without having to have the sound kick on in the beginning....any assistance?

anybody figure out how to import (via pimbackup) your text messages and incorporate them into the new threaded sms app....it'll show that the messages have been imported (indicated by the number of text messages i had backed up ..in this case it was 1683)....however...they weren't showing in the app...then when i started a conversation with someone the number disappeared and i only the new conversations....are the old messages retrievable....or are we at the "catch 22" where its a hot new wm 6.1 ....but some older things are gonna have to get dismssed.....lemme know if you find anything

the thing i've noticed after importing tex messages is that it wont show them threaded, it first showed the ones sent to me then it showed the ones i sent to the person. after that if i sent any it would thread them but not the old ones. didnt try soft reset though maybe that would of fixed it. and 1683 messages dont slow down your phone? i delete mine every 2 days or so.

nah...never slowed down my phone...pocketcm still has my old messages which is odd...and i can view em and everything for each person.....but if i send a new message then the threaded sms app will start my conversations from there...not from what i've already had....

btw...anyone figure how to get that startup sound muted or removed?

Either change this reg and reset:

HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA\FlightM odeOnOFF
Sound_on=\windows\PhoneOn.wav

Or copy an new sound into \Windows named PhoneOn.wav

Cant get wifi to run, it just acts like its searching but does not connect. All setting look good. Switch is in on position, and if I go to Comm Manager and try to get it going its like tring to start search but no go? Any help would be great.

is anybody experiencing issues with data/voice roaming with this rom?

also....i noticed that my location continues to stay OFF everytime i reset the phone....i have to set it to off (although the icon indicates off already)....hit ok....get back to phone app screen and change settings back to ON for it to stick.

Now I'm just waiting for my favorite rom to have the 6.1 updates included! :)

Does anybody know what Colonel used to show running programs on the status bar? I imagine it was a task manager of some kind but the running programs showed up at the top of the screen windows xp or vista style.

Hey Colonel, been running your 1/31 for a few days now; as usual, another fine piece of workmanship. a few adjustments and been real stable.
Question: I'm trying this TrackMe from XDA, and when I try to run it I get this error:
File or assembly name 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3BE235DF1C8D2AD3', or one of its dependencies, was not found.

Looks like maybe related to the SqlCe Mobile not being the right version possibly. can you tell me what version you have installed?

Can I flash to this rom after having already flashed a 6.1 (dcd 2.2.4)? I just bought this phone a week ago (mainly because of the GPS and radioshack had it for $129 AR) and coming from a 6700 w/ colonel's 3.5 I'm feeling a bit of separation anxiety. The GPS is cool and all but its nothing compared to my BT one and I prefer a fully functional phone. I'm hoping the Col. will make me regret my purchase a little less.

hey is anyone else that using COL's GPS ROM having issue with the phone not ringing. i've checked all the settings and for some reason only the splash screen shows a incoming call, but no vibration or ringer sound. other than this issue I freakin LOVE this ROM with all the new images for ICONS etc... just wish I could figure a workaround for Goodlink to work with the S2U2 program. anyway first things first... please help me get my ringer ringing..

I am actually having the same issue.... It seems that I keep having my phone's ringer on the off position. I am not sure what is causing it but I keep missing calls lol. I am a Colonel's ROM junkie so I am now moving on to the new 2/12 to see what's in store. :)

have you checked the settings in voice command? are the rings coming thru to your bt....have you tested this without voice command enabled? just a suggestion....i've had instances when s2u2 jus had the longest response in the world to answering my call or letting me answer my call...hopefully this new rom fixes it..

damn well...i went on my lunch break...came back...and the new file that was uploaded is now removed...anyone download it and try it out or still have it downloaded on their comp? lemme know

colonel... i have a scenario...

say your drunk... and you were in a car... aaaand you needed to soft reset the phone. so you decide to do so by using the stylus bc holding the power button took too long. and you accidentally pushed the stylus into the usb connector instead of the soft reset button.

well you know how you always say... flash back to sprint rom before sending in the phone for work for anything. well... I cant... I mean... say you cant... what would u do in this situation. remember... this is a hypothetical situation... lol...

i have the same issue with the ringer. Calls come through but no ring sound with the GPS ROM.

It seems the problem for me was with the default ringer... i changed that and now it rings on incoming calls.

Exact the sprint ruu_signed.nbh rename it to TITAIMG.nbh copy to storage card put storage card back in phone the turn phone on in bootloader mode it will read the Image nbh and start to flash your phone

How do you get the color icons on the titlebar in your rom? Is this something you have that installs via a cab file? Or could you tell me how to install it on a different rom? :)

Phone resetting after flashing, ?? Help
 

I flashed the GPS rom today after already running the beta Sprint GPS rom. I love the Colonel Roms because of the things he uses and all. My phone however , is resetting on its own after flashing to the rom. I have reflashed it a few times and was pretty sure I was using the correct stuff. I used the same unlocker I used for the original ROM in this thread . Is there a newer one? I saw reference to using the NEW Unlocker but that is the newest one I saw. I can get into the phone for a short time and then it resets again and again. I thought I let customisations run thru . Any ideas or suggestions..? I am wondering about the unlocker,,,Either way, I would really prefer to use thos ROM over the Sprint GPS Rom ,,but cant get the thing to stop resetting..HELP I used the older Rom from this thread for a while with minimal issues

A note that may help , when my phone is in Active Sync with PC it stays on and will not reset..Any ideas?update: Iunit will not reset even when unit is hooked up to usb to pc...does not have to be synced, but as soon as I unhook, it resets itself ( soft). I guess I am going to flash back to the Kmart beta rom for now..Colonel, I hope u can help because I would really rather use yours...thanks

I believe you might have one of the colonel's test roms; he gives the password to an elite few for testing purposes.

You need this unlocker. I had the same problem, installed this file and poof: fixed.
