Totally Confused with All the Builds

it used to be we'd wait for updated kitchens from PPCKitchen.org, then recently there have been a multitude of individuals releasing their own but having numbers in the PPCKitchen.org format, i.e. from 21501 to the 21800 series releases, then 23000 releases, and these releases would update very frequently instead of the several weeks 'schedule'. Is the PPCKitchen.org organization still alive and well, and will this incredible group of people continue to release updates?

From what I can tell, they are alive and well and currently working on different projects. In fact, some of the members of that group are the ones posting new builds. As for The Kitchen BuildOs, I am sure they will release an updated version with the current builds when they can. They just have so much on their plates.

Haven't been here on ages...thought I'd drop by to see what was new, had the same impression as the OP.

It's especially confusing as noone posts whats so "special" about their build/or what's in it etc

We ae all chefs who make slightly different tweaks to the builds for our pre-built ROMs (except jdume, who has created a kitchen for you to create your own ROMs). If you read through the threads, you'll be able to see what we've included. It's usually in the first post. Hope that helps explain.

The builds they are releasing aren't numbered by them, they are based off build numbers from the sources of the roms:

21501 to the 21800 series releases (219** today): From microsoft's builds, less customized, more of a pure 6.5 build, depending on what the chef adds
2300*: HTC's modified 6.5 builds
