Re: WM 6.5 - 23017B (08-August-2009)

Hey all -
Here's an update on 23025. Basically, I still don't think it's ready for primetime. Similar to 23024, it breaks some programs. Most importantly, it causes some problems with HTC Task Manager because of the movement of the X from the top right to the bottom left. Other programs, such as Bing Mobile and SASHIMI were giving me problems. I have personally reverted back to 23017B, but want to give everyone a chance to look at these.

So here's what I'll be doing for now. I currently have 4 builds of 23024 cooked. They are all up currently in Post #3. Here are the differences between the 4 builds:
1 - White taskbar icons, no HTC Task Manager
2 - Colorful taskbar icons, no HTC task manager
3 - White taskbar icons, yes HTC Task Manager
4 - Colorful taskbar icons, yes HTC Task Manager
Please keep in mind that having the HTC Task Manager in these new builds is a double-edged sword. It works partially, but causes some distortion in the top taskbar.

Other than that, I have included the same programs as 23017B.

If you decide to flash to this, please keep a favorite ROM handy to revert back to.

Enjoy!

If you flash a new ROM, you will lose all of your settings and programs. Make sure you back up all data that you may need, such as contacts and calendar appointments. Also, gather up all the cabs you will need to re-install all of your programs.

And there will not be nay official 6.5 ever released for our phones. We are already two generations behind.

I use ThumbCal. It's one of the few programs that I have paid for, and it was well worth the money. To make the Calendar plugin on Titanium open it instead of the built in calendar, you must set ThumbCal as the default calendar app. Open it up, and go to the menu and Settings. Make sure "Set as default calendar" is checked; I also check "Set as default tasks app" and "Close on minimize."

Dotfred's Task Manager.

http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm

Also, check that you are in High Memory Mode and that your Pagepool is set to 4. Other things to look at are IM programs and Voice Command.

Re: WM 6.5 - 23017B (08-Aug-2009)/23025A (11-Aug-2009)

okay thanks i'll check that out, when i just layed down the fresh rom the ideling mem was at about 22k in low mem mode, after installing just a few of my programs, (alarm clock, s2u2, s2v, office mobile, i contact, skyfire, and thumb cal) the ideling mem fell to about 12k i have a feeling that it may be skyfire, however that is the best internet browser that i can find, it works great for almost every site, streams video fine and i dont run into as many problems with screen formating as i do with other browsers, plus its free, i'm not sure what to do about that.
