WM6.5 for HTC Titan Build 23566/21891 *UPDATE*

Got this running, and it's pretty sweet. I'm running the Low Mem version, and after having it up all night, and running a few programs this morning, I have 16.5 MB free.

A couple of issues;

1) Internet Explorer is slooooooooooooooooooow. It takes forever to download anything, and so I usually give up. Plus, it seems like my phone locks up after I shut it down, it stops responding for so long. I downloaded skyfire, and the internet works just like it did on wm 6.1
2) Windows Media player only plays the first 3 seconds of a MP3, and then goes silent. The progress bar keeps going, but no sound. Looks like the hi mem version fixed my WMP issue...

I found if I do not run the lock screen (hit start button, click left soft key, titled "Lock", I don't have huge memory leaks. Last night, I used the lock screen, and I would only have 9 MB of memory available after a couple of hours, even with nothing running.

I'm going to download your task manager on the start page link in the first page of this post....this is great so far.

Download this file, copy it to your phone and install It. It will give you task manager button on home screen. Its the same one I use. I left it out becuase I want people to be able to add what they want. I don't know about you but I hate installing someone elses ROM only to find its filled full of stuff I don't use or want. Does this work on 21815? I installed the cab, and it's in my list of programs under "Remove Programs", but I don't see it anywhere on the phone?

Also, what about the sprint navigation (I'm on sprint)? I saw a member post about it, but I didn't see an answer. Is it available for wm 6.5?

*EDIT* After putting the phone in hi mem mode, and soft resetting, the task manager is showing. But still curious about Sprint Nav

Jmartin72 thanks, Okay i got it running but i was messing with it for a while and it seems that my wifi isnt working as good as it did on 6.1, i go to my IE and instead of throwing me the webpage it gives me the server not responding, i cant seem to find the settings to where you can customize battery performance and wifi performance you know like the one from 6.1, is there anything i can install or do? thanks again jmartin72

I have had the same issue and posted it in different forums. My wifi does not work as well/fast as it did with WM6.1. No one gave a solution.

Just get this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65453 chome editor 1.6, you can add/remove panels on you 6.5wm. But whats even easier, you can select available panels and choose settings and it will have like 4 apps in it. I just made my own panel and put task manager apps I wanted in it like file explorer, dot fred task manager, my wifi/comm manager, and wififofum to sniff out local free wifi spots.

Now what I am looking for is a panel that has like my 5 favorite people to call, like 6.1 had with a certain mod.

Question, I installed this rom, but before this I still had 6.1 and i backed up all my stuff with PPCPimBackup 2.8 but i cant just that program to restore all my stuff, is there something else I can do, or a way to disable the not trusted certificates thing or something?

Running 21815 for a day, and It really is the best 6.5 build thus far in terms of speed, responsiveness, and overall memory (it is a bit leaky over night, but I do tend to restart my phone in the morning because of other apps anyway).

With regard to the text messaging issues, I'm still having a slight variation of the previously reported issue. I fixed the jumping back due to punctuation by upping the "suggest after" count as mentioned previously, and that helped. Now when I end a message in punctuation, hit send and not hit okay right away, it will type the same character again.

For example
"Hi, how are you?"
[Send]
?
[Okay]
"Would you like to save this message as a draft"...

Anyone have any ways to get around this?

Not sure what to do about the text messaging issue, however, are you using the Lock screen (Windows key, left soft key "Lock"). Right after installing this rom, I used the lock screen, and within a few hours in high mem, I went from 18-19mb ram free, to 9 mb, and I couldn't run anything. Now, I don't use the lock screen, and I have been stable at 15-16 mb free for a couple of days.

Having the exact same problem. I shut off auto suggest so I'll assume it has to do with auto correction, which I still have turned on. Havent messed with it enough yet to know a solution but it is quite annoying. Wish they would let me play with my phone at work.

i cant seem to get connected through wifi. my network shows up, starts to connect and just stops. any ideas?
