Question Re: Windows 6.5 Titan

Hey, this build works pretty good, seems fast! I just have a couple of things I wish I could change:

1. I don't like the default icons on the top bar (i.e. start, network, signal, etc) Is there any way I can set them back to their default, or change them to something else?

2. I don't really care for the honeycomb look in the start menu. Is there a way to remove that?

3. Why did Office only have Word in it? No big deal - I just installed the DCD office and that fixed it, but just curious...

Other than that works pretty good, thanks!

everything is possible

tear the nbh file apart all the way to the sys core and add remove your own settings then rebuild back up. read my fancy disclaimer first because unless you know how to do this, there will be pitfalls (both in the tearing and rebuilding) that will render your phone useless.

I know it's possible to CREATE the honeycomb grid by copying a modified set of files to your Windows directory. Would it be possible to undo the honeycomb by replacing them with the originals?

The three files I used to have to copy over were StartMenu_GridScene_240x320.cpr
StartMenu_GridScene_320x240.cpr
StartMenu_Hexagon_Inactive.png

You're right, I don't think I want to tear apart the nbh file! I'd probably end up like this -->

But are not these just icons (or pngs) somewhere out on the file system? i.e. /Windows? Could we not just replace those with different pictures and soft-reset? Or are they actually embedded into the system code itself?

Re: Windows 6.5 Titan

@ Simp - Sorry, I don't have the originals.

@ bbsandkm - I'm still loving the ROM. I've got a memory leak, but I think that's my fault. I put some new Titanium plug-ins and themes on, and I think one of them isn't playing well (The WM7 theme, CVolume and CComm). I did notice a few things that occured with other 6.5 ROMs, such as the Wireless Manager shortcut not working and the weak vibrate. I've been using the cabs from Post #2 here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497303) to fix them.

After booting, I can run Oxios and kick myself up to 24.5 MB free (Before: 16268 KB, After: 24.432 KB) which is awesome. Everything loads quickly, and scrolling is smooth. Once I get my damn leak solved, I'll be a very happy camper!

Re: Windows 6.5 Titan

This might be odd, but I haven't noticed any memory leaks. Maybe it's 3rd party programs doing it? I have two Touch Pros and both ran 6.5 without many issues at all and the memory usage was just slightly more than 6.1 uses.
