Okay so i got 23064 up and running, memory seems to idle at least 19mb sometimes as high as 23mb, not sure where the wondering is coming from, i'm closing everything with taskmanager and running cleanRAM, but regardless it still has a lot of free memory, even with s2u2 and the other programs i am running, seems to run pretty smooth so far, havent had a change to recieve a lot of calls/texts so far. I am still having two of the same issues that i had with 23053B
1. After charging/syncing with the laptop and removing the USB cable it doesnt seem to realize that you have actually unhooked it from the computer, i still have the charging icon for the battery gauge, however the S2U2 walpaper is NOT the charging walpaper so that is good, but still weird the battey gauge on the top bar is the pluged in gauge. The bigger issue related to this is that after unpluging insetad of switching the data connection back to EVDO it remains disconnected and has the right left arrows so you can check email or get any dataconnection through EVDO, i opened task manager and didnt see anything still open so i opened and then closed active sync and then the right left arrows changed back to the Ev icon and i was back running again, however the batter gauge still shows plugged in and wont clear without a soft reset. 2. the screen doesnt fit with the bottom bar with the windows icon and X. the bottom 1/8 inch of the screen is coverd by the bottom bar, this is an issue when using some programs such as Sprite, the bottom bar almost completly covers the backup button, also when opening texts the bottom bar covers the last reply upon opening, you can scoll down so you can read it, but then the bottom bar is covering most of your reply box, this is workable but annoying. So far these are the biggest issues i have found, with 23053b i did have a few instances of recieveing phone calls that put the phone into soft reset, i'm not sure what was up with that, i'll let you know if i get that again. having the X on the today screen to close open apps would be nice but this is easily taken care of with task manager on the programs screen. Havent had it off the charger for long enough to get a good feel for battery life but i'm sure it'll be good to great like 23053 was. Once again good job, i like the look and feel of it, if theres anything you need me to do/test to help diagnose these issues let me know, thanks Doug

ok thanks for taking the time to explain and to mention some of the apps you are currently running.
so about issue # 1 the charging icon does seem to take a little long to switch back to numbers inside the battery, nothing to worry there. issue # 2 i agree that there are some applications that have not updated to the new 6.5 taskbar example: freecell game and some keyboards like fingerfriendly but that issue needs to be solved by the application. one big change i dont like its that MS took out the DONE button inside wireless manager and the lower favorites button inside internet explorer however, this is still one of my favorite builds.

yeah i do like it, to clarify though, with the battery bar and dataconnection issues, if left alone they did not fix them selves even given an hour, i hd to cycle active sync to get data back, and had to soft reset to get the battery back, not sure if this is something that can be tweaked; i do like this rom, just dont like to have to soft reset every time i plug up to my laptop which is a lot

you should try mattsm roms and see if it does the same about not changing the icon. it may be the new battery icon i got installed.
if it is the rom, i can cook one without the battery icon showing the numbers.

I have noticed somethign rather wierd in the rom. When sending a txt message if you open messaging then click menu / new / sms. When you type the first few letters of the name with the keyboard it doesn't show you the matches. Now if you use the software keyboard SIP it works as expected and suggests the names. Why it doesn't work with the slide out hardware keyboard I don't know??
Also why does the search window on Internet Explorer open file explorer when you type something and click search. Shoudn't it search the web? I don't have the battery problem after syncing, mine switches back to the numerals for battery charge almost immediately. These are the only two issues I have come across to date.

one more quirk with texting, dont know if its a option i need to change or something, but when i recieve a text, the ringer goes off and the text box on the top bar pops up but i dont get a preview like i used to

How do i remove the battery icon from the title bar. It seems kind of silly to have it there since there is a long battery life indicator going across the top edge of the screen.
