Was happy - this change (>settings>keylock>) doesn't stick through a soft reset - always defaults back to the "Do not lock buttons" option after a soft reset...

I had the same problem. This is what I did, and it stuck. I changed the key lock setting. Then after a minute or so, I held down the power button and shut the phone off. After turning it back on, it has never reverted back to the other way.

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately this doesn't work either. Time for a Hard Reset and a re-try. (haven't had this issue before 23053B). This is baffling... (and of course I cannot let it go

I've written a mortscript to change the setting on startup, have monitored the registry with (CeRegEdit_Setup_0.0.5.2.exe) and can see the registry value change after the script runs but even with the new registry value the setup screen for the Keylock option will show "do not lock buttons" after a reset until I go into the keylock screen and manually change it to "lock all".

Have added the Mort script to the startup folder, have validated the script is working using the registry compare feature of CeRegedit, still after a reset the keylock screen will revert to the "do not lock setting" option as stated, even with the mortscript in the startup folder and the registry key verified and modified.

Once I change the option button in the Keylock setup screen the feature will work as advertised until a reset. After the reset the registry value remains a 1 but the keys unlock with the call / hang up buttons on the device until I go into keylock settings and change the option to "lock all".

I've compared the registry before and after making the setting change to ensure that this is the only Key/value that this option affects. It is... Something is setting the option button focus in keylock back to "do not lock" and that setting appears to have priority over the actual value in the registry... uggg....

I wouldn't mess with this if I didn't carry the phone in my pocket and if I wasn't planning to turn this over to my wife in the next couple days who won't set the option after a reboot... Love 053B, quickest and most stable with this one side effect.

Perhaps a control panel shortcut is my next path if a hard reset doesn't work... will report back on the hard reset progress (thank goodness for SPB backup ROM mode)...

Re: Windows 6.5 XV6800/Titan 23053

okay so i just loaded 23053, so far this definatly seems great, i like the layout, i have two issues though, the first is on the other roms i have run when you tap the upper right corner it brings down a list of running programs so you can close them, i really need something like this because a few of the programs i run (skyfire, icontact, etc) dont really close down if you use the ok button to close. I like the drop down menu that come down from the top bar, if i could put a program to do this on that bar, i could just put task manager on that if it is possible, that would be okay if someone could tell me how to do that.

The other werid quirk which ist really an issue is if you use the windows hard key or screen button to try to toggle between the home page and programs list it will go from the home page to the programs list but most of the time it wont go back from the programs list to the home page, if you use the OK button on the top left side of the phone it switches nicely between the two pages, this isnt really an issue at all just a weird quirk.

Great job, i really like this one, if i can just get a fix to close down running aps that rape my memory i'll be really really happy

Re: Windows 6.5 XV6800/Titan 23053

There is an ugly way to get the drop down task manager in the upper right hand corner again. Install Device Update on your phone and download HTC X Button. That will install it into your upper right hand corner like previous build had. Here is the UGLY part, it over laps with the clock in the same corner. So graphically it isn't pleasing to look at, but it works.
