Phone Won't Wake Up, Locks Up Computer, Fuxored

Dear PPCGeeks:

Am having some extremely strange activity on my phone and haven't been able to find anything to help me out.

Recently updated to the new NueROM package. Cooked up a pretty minimal ROM, selections attached at the end. The only other things I've installed have been : the Diamond keyboard, VidaOne My Personal Diet & My Personal Fitness, exercise series 1-7, and Kinoma Play.

A day or two after I did the upgrade, the phone started locking up whenever it went into standby. Pretty reliably so. 1 out of ten times I'd try to turn it back on it would actually wake up. Additionally, randomly, the phone would reboot.

I've now gone in and unchecked the "Turn off Device if not used for..." buttons, but this isn't really a fix so much as a workaround. The phone still locks up if I hit the power button, and I still pocket dial people.

That's the major concern. Here's a few other random things that have also started happening right along with it:

• Seems like I need to reboot the phone to get an activesync connection.
• When the phone does lock up and I hit the soft reset button, I've got to hit the power button again to actually get it to turn on.
• When I plug into the USB on the computer, the UPDATE RUU folder pops up in windows explorer.
• When I unplug the phone I get one of two responses:

1. Another explorer window pops up or,
2. The computer completely locks up and requires me to actually UNPLUG it from power before it will reboot. Otherwise, power button does nothing.

So color me confused. I'd like to keep the ROM I've got if at all possible, as when I works, it works great and I've got plenty of memory to do the things I like to do. There doesn't seem to be anything in the package that should mess this up, maybe it's a computer/PPC interface problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
