aGPS Fix Question

I performed the fix successfully a few days ago. Since then I've flashed a new ROM and done the hard-reset and everything. Now, I can't seem to get QPST to recognize my phone when I connect it when its in dmrouter.exe /diag.

So, my question this far is, was the previous fix a once for all thing, Or should I need to do it after each flash?

Re: aGPS Fix Question

I remember this being a question in the beginning when these instructions first came out and the answer was that it was a one time thing. I wish I could remember the thread so you could read it all yourself but thats the answer you were looking for anyway.

Re: aGPS Fix Question

Matthew, do you have a data plan? If you don't then aGPS will rack up some KB usage, if your data is blocked it won't work at all...

AJ, the phone is not activated with Verizon yet, I've just been messing with the kitchen and settings until I have it how I want it.

Thanks, AJ

EDIT: I figured out how to reverse the QPST settings. It was a matter of writing the previous "stock" image of the QPST settings back to the phone that I saved at step 9 of XDA AGPSfix. Any idea if there's anything else I must do?

Re: aGPS Fix Question

As you know the device will do GPS without cellular service. What else are you trying to do?

There are a few posts that indirectly answer that question but here is the one that makes the most sense to me anyway.

Flash away, aGPS will stay.

The GPS works pretty good w/o cellular service, and I installed the aGPS fix without cell. service. I'm just trying to reverse the aGPS changes before I activate the phone to avoid data charges.

Dano, although I loaded the original QPST settings (pre-aGPS fix), do you mean its still enabled?

Ahh, i misunderstood the question it seems. When you went back to the original image (as you said you have done from the backup in the instructions), then you got rid of the aGPS. I only meant to say that a ROM flash or Radio flash would not change the QPST settings, backing up weedahoe's previous assertion. You should be all set.

Sorry for the confusion.
