Question about insurance replacement with modded phone

Hey everyone, my name is Adam and I got a question. I'll try to keep this short.

I have the full protection plan through Sprint and had my Mogul replaced from being stolen early last year. A few days ago around New Years, I dropped my phone in a puddle and the phone will no longer turn on. I wanted to just send the phone in but I'm a little paranoid since the phone doesn't boot and I can't flash my phone back to the stock rom. I have one of Nex's roms on it.

Any advice?

Also I no longer see the Mogul on Sprints website, any chance of getting an upgrade (Touch/Diamond)? Am I better going into a store and filing a claim to get an upgrade? I've been a customer with sprint for about a year and half, never a late payment. Thanks.
