NueROM with PPCKitchen .90.04

I'm trying to build the NueROM 3Pre3 and can't get it to load correctly with the latest PPCKitchen version .90.04. I found the posting that covered .90.03.

Thanks!
Beez

Re: NueROM with PPCKitchen .90.04

After a lot of help from GGuruUSA, and after many failed attempts with other users trying to put our heads together, we're still going at it.
Basically, you have to:
1) Unpack and drop the folders into kitchens/neuROM

2) Go into Titan_core\ and open Kitchen_config.txt and edit the last digit of the line "KitchenConfigVersion=.90.03" to read .90.04

2) Find the line that states "XipFilename=", replace that line with the following:

BuildID=No2Chem_nueROM3
XipFilename=Titan,No2Chem_nueROM3,xip_patch_20931. bin

3) Then open nueROM3_selections.txt, and add the following before the line that reads "OutputDir=Temp":

OptionalModuleDir=kitchens\000_Shareware.rar:
OptionalModuleDir=kitchens\PPCkitchen_OEM.rar:
ModuleDir=USER_OEM

4) copy the nueROM3 selections file in the projects/ directory of your buildOS

5) Run BuildOS

You will still get 2 serious sounding errors when you open it, but GGuru says they may be minor, and press on. You'll get a bunch of duplicate OEM errors, but those are harmelss. Press on.
Build a rom.

Theoretically, that should do it, however I haven't gotten a rom to boot yet like this. Its very frustrating- after loading up, it seems to lock on the main splash screen.
But, this should at least get you started until someone figures it out...

I would upgrade to unified kitchen 206. It's for download in the donator CP and it's for the Titan.

That's actually what I was talking about. I notice that the OP meant pre3, however my point was that the new kitchen BuildOS version seems to break some compatibility with the nuerom basekits.

This was a few days ago, however. I admit that I haven't checked to see if anyone figured it out by now...

going on here:

Those who have made this work really ought to write a proper tutorial. This seems to be a common question in recent posts, and plaguing the chat.
(if I could get it work, I'd totally have written one myself by now... but alas, haven't kept up with nueroms of late and I'm stuck now too)

BuildOS didn't change the way it builds, just the syntax of the xip file selection. If you don't see towards the end of the build a "Inserting blahblah.bin" that corresponds to the correct xip for the base you are building, then you screwed up the directions. If you DO see that and your rom fails, talk to No2chem, as the problem is then his basekit.
