Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

Installed Just fine!

I really like the blue bootup screen

So things I noticed, and these might be because it is the -M build

1 - No Carrier customizations, as it defaults to Sprint for data. It's really just a connection name and works fine on Verizon. Is there cab we can install to get the customizations?

2 - I will just install all the cool NueRom cabs until the -S is availaible

So does -M == Minimal, and -S == Super?

PS - So what does everyone think of IE 6.1? It's interesting so far....

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

So I guess nuerom-m does not have things like the reprogramable wifi switch thingie? And yes, thats the technical term for it.

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

This is a minimal build. You can search for the Verizon carrier cab on Google. And you can sign into nuerom.com and download the nueTools like the wifi switch.

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

The Wi-Fi Switch applet is in the Control Panel under "Hardware Switch" on this rom. The Sliding sound is also there...

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

I have a question, I want to try the NueROM-m, but want to take a...snapshot? I guess you would call it, of my current setup. So I don't have to reinstall all the apps and redo settings, etc. How would one go about that?

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

working well so far

a few small issues I ran into, and they are probably my fault somehow

1.) I flash via SD card, the first time I tried to flash it failed, not sure why. I soft reset back into boot loader and it flashed fine the second time.

2.) It looks like the default sprint autorun is included in this rom, I let it run, it ended failing because it could not find the audible cab. The touch screen was unresponsive and I couldn't dismiss the error dialog with the hard buttons, so I just soft reset and then all was ok

3.) For some reason IOTA wouldn't complete for me, so I installed an IOTA cab that I had on my SD card and it worked fine

Other than that all is going great, my sashimi setup ran just fine, and I got Manila 2D up and running without issue.

This build included the hardware switch CPL and kernel CPL, which were my favorite things from nueRom3-pre3.

I have about 25MB Free Memory in migh memory mode, the same setup on nuerom3pre3 gave me about 22-23MB free memory

tried the new ie, but it is still not very user friendly for me... I am going to stick with opera mini for now

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

Hmm. Haven't seen this before but hitting the End (Red Button) makes the phone beep. Holding it makes the phone turn off. Is this normal?

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M / nueROM3

ok i have tried this build and i love it..i had a back up of my nuerom 3 and only did the back up of my settings and it works really well..i went into the nuerom carriers folder and dropped the carrier stuff(i'm with cricket) into the windows folder excluding the tsk files, i also installed a mms cab that i had, and then i did the back up and it soft reset and everything is working very well..i was able to send a pic to myself and all so thanks again and this build does seem faster than nuerom3(it fast fast) as someone else stated oh and i did try the new IE and i really like it..i hate ie normally even on my pc but this was the first time that i actually clicked a vid from msn and it played(wm player opened up) and clearly no hiccups or anything and with sound as well

A workaround that worked for me is go to Settings, Buttons, Select Internet Explorer Button, then Deselect 'Assign a program' to something else, revert, and it should work.
