So most of you guys have done ZERO to try and troubleshoot.

1) build a clean rom, _nothing_ added. See if you experience the same issues.
2) if you do, tell us what and how to reproduce it.
3) if you don't, start adding your stuff back in, but not all at once. See when the problems start to occur.

Just because stuff "worked" in an older kitchen is no reason to assume it is compatible with a newer kitchen. If you run into problems, take a few moments to try and troubleshoot it. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that people successfully use this base without the issues some of you are having - more than likely your issues stem from something you have added in.

I will take some time to do some further testing this weekend. Are there core packages that need to be installed that are not included in the kitchen (ex: CommMgr or an Audio Gateway) that if are left out may or may not affect the very basic functionality of the device? For example, if I don't use the HTC Audio Manager or Win Media no sounds will play or if I don't include a CommMgr it will not be available at all. Knowing the baseline for a functional core is helpful versus building a ROM with "_NOTHING_" added which may not include various tools the phone needs to function at its bare minimum. I'm sure this seems like a very stupid question but I've never really payed much attention to packages that are required compared to the packages I've wanted.

Also would it be outside the realm of request that a selections .txt file be created with all the required options checked for the next release for this type of testing & trouble-shooting?

Nothing checked is the baseline. BTW, the symptoms you guys are describing (sluggish, lockups) are usually resource contention issues...

I don't have time to flash the "clean" ROM and add items back 1 by 1 because I'm working 2 jobs. The differences between 924 & 755 is I removed removed Internet, Java, WiFi, Compression, PIM, MMS, NETCF, and a couple other things totaling a 20+ MB smaller ROM than the 755 base. The only addition was adding "animation" "fingerprint_anime651.gif" so here is what I can think that may be an issue, the addition of the anime.

May not have any thing to do with slowness totally but when I open keyboard and put phone in landscape mode seems to invoke the sluggish behavior. After a minute or so and I go back to normal it seems to improve speed.

I've noticed extraordinary sluggishness as well. I run palms threaded sms app, and sometimes, when I try to use the softkey to open it, I just get the loading icon in the middle of the screen for about 20 seconds, and then nothing happens. I click it again, and the same thing. The third time, it always opens. Navigating through quickmenus layered menus is slow, each takes time and occasionally a loading icon to open.

Is there any word on when the calendar bug is going to be corrected?
Or is there a fix for it with out having a new build?

Just want to give a quick thanks to the fellas responsible for the kitchen. I'm running the Sprint Titan 20924 now and although it has it's quirks, it's definitely a great overall package.

I too have noticed the sluggishness. Cloudrider is right, it seems to happen after opening and closing the keyboard once. Text messaging has been almost impossible for me. Admittadly though, I did put quite a bit on my phone this flash. I'm spending the majority of this weekend on planes, but I'll try to flash back to a blank ROM and see if it improves and will post results.

I noticed this when it came to Text messaging as well. I flashed with stuff in the Rom as well as with nothing in it and it does the same thing. When it happens I did was use Oxios and Cleartemp then it will be okay. At times I will also soft reset just to be on the safe side. But like others, I noticed the sluggish way it will get then it will speed up.
