Re: does ICS work on mr1?
I would say no if you dont pay for tethering or are not provisioned for it. I am sure verizon did not disable the multi NAI settings or whatever the stock rom has to tell them when you are tethering. Theylike money you know!

Re: does ICS work on mr1?
Ya I found another thread and installed the ICSInstall.cab which I believe installs the ICS app and the NAT dll's but I'm still not able to get it workin properly.. I'm wondering what they did to disable this... I can get it to assign an IP on my laptop but no go on any traffic...
just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this? Overall I've been surprised with MR1 though.. it seems to handle memory a lot more efficiently than other custom ROMs I've tried.. specifically recovering back to 20+ mb free... I like dcd's for functionality but that thing sucks and sucks memory until it's in the low teens and I just have to keep rebooting all too frequently. |

low teens forced you to reboot?? I run a ton of memory stealing apps like MSVC just because I like the functionality of them, but I have found my system running just fine with the free mem down to as low as 5 MB at times........ ~John |

Re: does ICS work on mr1?
I'm really convinced it's text messaging that is leaking the memory and the more I do on a boot the slower the device gets... I can go fine with running/closing apps and recovering the memory but when I get in a btch fest with someone on text it's all over for my memory.

Re: does ICS work on mr1?
Not too long ago I flashed the mr1 and went through this same issue. Below is a zip file of a "ics" cab and WMIFI" cab that works EVERY time while I'm out camping in the rv for days on end.
you will need to setup an adhoc private network for wifi and away you go. Just be sure to have your 6800 plugged in and open the keyboard for cooling.. See uploaded files. RD |
