6800 and Touch official 6.1 roms released

The official 6.1 gps enabled 6800 and touch roms have been released by alltel, you can find them at software.alltel.com

Yes... I'm the same wirelessbeachbum from wirelessadvisor.com, I saw in previous threads that there was speculation of the official release, but didn't see any announcements.

I've reflashed my phone today... other than the HTC home screen app locking up my phone, seems pretty good so far.

The Alltel Navigation app by Telnav is pretty nice as well although I have not left the house yet... trying to get all of my apps loaded back on and configured.

Telenav is actually pretty sweet. It's not bad about picking routes either.

After a couple of days still seems to be a pretty good build... Telnav for local routing is missing a new parkway, but I don't really use it for local routes anyway... The only program that is irritating me is google maps... it works fine, infact if you find your location within telnav, then switch to google maps it works fine. My issue is I loaded google maps on a customers curve today, and they already had street views enabled on the Blackberry.... where's the love for Win mobile.

That's Google's fault. I guess if you have a Java version you can use that.
