Thumbs up FIX for nueROM 3pre3 "no Bluetooth hardware found"!

After about 50 builds of the PPCGeeks Kitchen yesterday and today, I finally found three OEMs that cause the “no Bluetooth hardware found” message. I have reported them to no2chem and he gave me permission to post them in the forums. He will also be posting this info to his blog. As he explained it to me, these OEMs are modules, and g'reloc is currently buggy when dealing with modules.

The three modules to stay away from in the kitchen when building nueROM 3pre3 are: nueDeviceLock, nuePowerCPL.cpl, and Replacement Beam CPL.

i have also had this issue and rebuilt entire kitchen 3 times before I narrowed it down to some of the nuetools but I was really thinking for a moment that schnaps advance config tool was the true culprit how wrong I was

Jim, thanks for running this to ground.

I can't find any of these OEMs in the kitchen with the nueROM3 basekit. What am I missing?

They're in PPCkitchen_OEM.rar that the nueROM3 basekit doesn't point to initially. Add these two lines to nueROM3_Selections.txt and you'll get all of the no2chem and PPCKitchen stuff:

OptionalModuleDir=kitchens\000_Shareware.rar:
OptionalModuleDir=kitchens\PPCkitchen_OEM.rar:

Adding those lines didn't do it for me... just added TomTom as best as I can tell.

I don't have a clue about what you're doing then. TomTom isn't part of the kitchen.

Do those modules have ill effects on other builds, namely 20748?

They all worked for me in 20748. I kept booting with wifi half the time with 20748, so I thought I'd spend time on nueROM 3pre3 instead.

Re: FIX for nueROM 3pre3 "no Bluetooth hardware found"!

I found another Kitchen OEM that causes problems on NueROM 3.

Remote Desktop Client OEM does not play well and will disable BlueTooth.
