Booting to Google Android

Who all thinks that the Titan would be able or even possible to boot straight into the Google Android OS? I think that it would be very cool. Almost like a ROM of the Android OS.

Re: Booting to Google Android

you can do that now if you place the exe in /windows start, but then you would need to hard reset to stop it and its not stable

Don't do this! Just put it in your My Documents and manually launch it and just soft reset to exit.

Re: Booting to Google Android

I don't think anyone would want the Google Android in its first year of production from I am reading in a trade magazine this morning. Version 1 will not even have BT because they want to get the phone out and the BT part is holding them up. They expect the Android will take 3 years to mature to a fully functional operating platform. Like Apple and the iPhone.... they first want to make sure the Android functions well as a phone before they send out version 2 that will start to contain all the bells and whistles we geeks want. They have a pic of the phone in the article as well.

No bluetooth at all? Here's what I've repeatedly heard. "Only the simplest implementation of Bluetooth. It'll work with Bluetooth headsets but that's about it; no Bluetooth stereo, no contacts exchange, no modem pairing and no using wireless keyboards. Sound familiar?" yup the Android OS is not the only phone that is having these issues, the iphone has the same issues. I agree that it will take time for Android to mature and google will continue to release fixes just like Apple. But 3 years seems a bit long, with the Android following and seeing how the iPhone was in dev even before legit SDK (within first 6 months of its release), the Android OS has some hope of being the gPhone (geekPhone ) we want.
